Herb picking feedback
« on: July 18, 2008, 09:00:08 PM »

A bit too much woundwart, the ratio could be toned down and perhaps upped for other herbs. This is the second summer season and there is barely anything save for woundwart.

Haunted woods dosnt grow any herbs, i know its.. haunted, but there's grass and trees that grows there, i dont see why herbs for potions wouldnt either.

Maybe if a herb picking skill was implemented, certain nodes would give out more herbs than just one.

Sullen woods had woundwart yesterday, if that's where you mean.

Yeah, the fey leaves came and went too fast.  I wanna make serious potions!

My opinion for healing:  Change it to where it doesn't require you to have 1 of each 3 healing herbs to make the moderates/serious.  I think if you usse three woundworts, for example, you should get a cure serious.

Finding one of each, especially with their seasons being so off-par makes the potions seem more epic than they really are.

Too many woundwarts and not enough ravenclaw, honey lily, fey leaves, and rustle leaves.

I think they got over regulated due the negative feedback on the numbers of certain herbs.  Now we beg for their return.  ;)

The idea was the need for more healing not for less of everything else XD

Maybe it's so overregulated as to be meaningless, boring, and contrived?  Micromanaging does that in RL too.   ;)

I almost seem like the random part of the herb spawing isn't working.  In areas with woundwart, that's all I've seen the last few days.

No, I think the idea was for less of other things and more healing in its place.  People complained about the large numbers of ability score buff potions, and then it got regulated, but I think it went a bit too far.  This last in-game year, when honey lillies were in season, I picked as many as I could, and I think I only ended up with ten.  I think that's a little too low.  Maybe they should at least stay in season a little longer.  It seemed like spring was ridiculously short.

Ah, that's it.  Make Spring herbs stay in season longer. :P

After my complaint, last night there was so many herbs other than woundwart, I was practically falling over them.

Heh, I also after reading the complaint saying there was too much woundwart, noticed that there was woundward after woundwart when Nell was out gathering.

But then after the server crashed, and then also after another planned reset, there was more diversity offered beyond woundwart.

Hmm, you know, it could be lag related...

FWIW, the lag has been particularly bad on my end.
