[Several dwarven miners begin to complain and grow irate at the number of longshanks stealing their ore. They question why the ore deeper isn't enough that they have to steal their ore as well and consider petitioning the king over it]

Some female witch and her summoned panther have attacked good king Moloch in his throne hall and wounded him and his guards severely. A chasing guard has reported to have seen said witch running and disappearing into the depths of Dwergenheim.

Great tragedy stroke down on Dvergenheim. The tremors had increased and many dwarfs had fallen. Some fled to the mountains. Some mad. Some in fear. And just slowly they come back to their once so noble halls, to rebuilt what had happened there.

Rumours speak of madness. The king it is said had become lunatic and he was missing for a long time. Whispers speak of some even greater evil below the old mines. But about no dwarf can or is willing to speak about it. Whatever had happened there, the trails of slaughter and the mass of blood and gore on the walls are proof enough that something sinister had happened there...

A black robed figure, upon hearing the good news, claps his clawed hands together and scrambles up the well and past a stunned bee-keeper towards Dvergeheim.

It is rumored that King Moloch himself is dead and a beholder is stalking the mines.

Though Dvergehiem is still in trouble a few guards remain and still patrol it's halls.  The beholder is known to us and soon it will become a forgotten tale.

In Eikinskjaldi's smelting room, a large ugly caliban was tolerated by the dwarves and allowed to work the forge. In the middle of a big project, he left many ingots of ore in the forge to retrieve more supplies, upon coming back and seeing his work had been stolen, he went in a yelling tirade and stormed out of the Dwarven Halls.

Over tankards of ale in the rumbling halls, dwarves share word of a tall shady figure who emerged from the mines below with a sack of ore on his shoulders and surprisingly carrying a life infant in his taloned hand. They say the figure left the child in the care of Onar, who in turn gave it over to more experienced hands deeper within Dvergheim. The figure left Dvergheim after a while of masterful smithery, back down to the darkness below.

Rumour has it Miss Suzannah Murphy was seen wandering around the Great Mountain speaking to a variety of craftsmen. She made it known she was interested in finding a stone worker and perhaps may need a large supply of stone. She offered few other details beyond generous wages.

Word within the feast hall is that "Something" stalks below. Several of the "Bearded Folk" have gone missing within the deeper portions of the tunnels. Dark rumors and speculation turns to wild drunken fear mongering as the ale pours and hushed voices murmur behind the locked gates of the Dwarven Kingdom.

Rumor spreads that an odd glowing symbol has appeared in the mushroom cavern near the dwarven mines. It appears to be the form of a raven within a circle with various mystical symbols surrounding the raven but within the circle.

A man clad in dark garb came into Dvergeheim recently, looking for the library. It seems he was interested in curses.
Throughout the day, the man's loud cries of frustration and fits of deep, hacking coughs disturbed the halls of the Dverge.

The sound of a full scale melee ensued from the depths of the mines, echoing up through the vast halls. A ragged group of humans were seen vacating the vicinity with haste, likely having met the more unpleasant denizens that live in the dark...

A strange mist was seen creeping through the tunnels recently. It seemed to roll across the ground as if it were a living entity.

An ancestral relic has recently returned home to Dvergeheim. Sigurdr Grimsson tells the tale of his great surprise upon finding the mighty spear in the hands of a travelling merchant who had set up shop in the western outskirts of Vallaki. Sigurdr is heard to say, “Forged by our ancestors in Dvergeheim, inspired by Odin’s very own spear, Gungnir, this spear, The Splinter of Gungnir, has finally come home. The runes carved on the tip of this spear were received long ago from the Valkyrie Sigrdrifa. And as it is prophesized that Odin, the All-Father, will be carrying Gungnir upon the battle field of Ragnarok, so too should the Splinter of Gungnir be carried into the battle to save our troubled home, Dvergeheim.”

Althof's Tavern is a scene of rowdy merriment as a collection of hard working stoutfolk drink and compete in a wrestling match called "The Bear vs. The Mountain". Local champion and Guard of King Moloch, Rorol Rudheld keeps his title despite some very close competition.

Odin's priest, Sigurdr,Gold-Eye, son of Grim, after having returned from far and wide still with no solution to Dvergeheim's plight that continues to rock their ancestral mountain home to the core and bone, once again, after a month's residing among his kin and clan, departs for the outer-world to seek new adventures, carrying his faithful spear, sturdy shield, and as much of Althof's latest batch of Bearded-Lady Brew that he can carry.

A dwarf in steel armor, gilded with gold, is seen in Dwarfhome. He delivers a missive to the guards at the kings hall, reading it out in a dialect of Dwarven structurally and grammatically old. His skin is darker then the average dwarf, and he stands short and broad, just over four feet.

"I, Thohed Obek, Third in line to the Captaincy, Keeper of the Keys of the Sixth District, and Patroller of the Long Hall, hereby plead audience with Moloch, King of the Hold of Dvergeheim, and any Councillors he may choose to be beside him, regarding the honor of the hold and duties hereby to be executed in pursuance thereof. I would invite with the kings permission any dwarf who wishes to take part in this session, that they may bring forth their views and arguments, should the king grant this request."

He hands the letter over to the guard after finishing reading it.

Althjof's Ales is packed with fresh barrels and tankards, the tavern filled to the brim with exotic drinks to sample. Happy, drunken songs go out to a generous gift from the Aglastan Trading Company, a gift evidently well invested back into the community.
