Those are all great ideas.
Especially the rats.
Though to be fair, at least some of the mushrooms should be toxic if used as food. (And just try to guess which ones!  I think we'd all be pleasantly surprised.  :P)

I remember that, because at least when cooked, that's a plentiful food source for a certain faction.

If it's not difficult to add certain edible plants/trees to the spawning system for crafting herbs such as raspberry bushes, cherry trees, turnips, potatoes and other similar items I think this would be beneficial to role play and give certain races the option to eat a cherry they didn't find on a dead body, or happen to run across for sale at murnu's shop.  The concept that a persona could live off the land entirely (not just limited to eating animals as you can now) is something that more than a handful of players might enjoy.

I could just run into the room and punch you in the balls; sure, that's scary. That's entertainment. But it isn't horror...

You want a potato? Go fight some ogres. :?

But yeah, edible stuffs in the field would be handy for folks low on rations, or for maybe those vegetarian types.

South and East of Warehouse District.  There are pumpkins everywhere!

I had thought it would be cool to be able to grow herbs somewhere like the mage tower so that they could be grown in small quantities when they were out of season, but it didn't seem like a good idea to ask for implementation on.

Every time I walk by a pumpkin patch I say, "Damn, I wish I could tend crops."
