Just out of curiosity, it the intended functionality exactly as the feat is written? Or is it meant to always have some effect excepting the half moon?

It should function as written. The bug occurred with the Waning Crescent Moon only.

Awesome. Thank you. Yeah I wasn't 100% sure when it was occuring. Hard to test when you've got to wait IRL day or two to catch the right moon phases.

Could use a vendor who sells simple bags or boxes in Nordenval. Looked all around and couln't find anything that wasn't an ivory jewelry box to put my crap in.

Somewhat belated but we added such a vendor in the bazaar.
I noticed that! Thank you! Nice QoL improvement for Hazlan characters

What: Amanuensis Spell

Issue: When clicking on a newly purchased piece of paper and following the instruction in the log, the log states the paper has already been written on.

Reproducing: Have a piece of paper with writing on it, and a fresh blank piece of paper. Cast Amanuensis on the original, then click the blank piece of paper.

You should never have to respawn, ever. The hard part is finding your body to be reunited with it if for any reason your ghost is not teleported to it when you get raised/resurrected. This happens if you are offline when the spell is cast on the body (unless they fixed it, in which case I'll cross this out).

I played a cleric and I can tell you that resurrecting even high level players is pretty cheap because of the discount you can get buying diamonds with Appraise. I used to encourage people to buy things from me with diamonds because they'd save money and I valued this undroppable form of currency that gets people alive again, in a game where deaths are frequent. Some clerics will not even ask for payment when resurrecting you.

It's not convenient in the slightest, people can't always be online, but this is a reason to make friends with people who can cast necessary spells and provide them with diamonds that you find in loot, where they are severely undervalued, or get them in touch with a high Appraise character.

At the end of the day, nobody can stop you from asking for OOC help, and silly deaths happen all the time. This advice runs parallel to that.

This would be a major buff. If you want Ezra FS to become "official" then you could think about giving native faiths one special power each and they unlock it at level 5 or 6.

Most of the native faith domains are not mechanically strong, they're average or below average. The Shield of Ezra is a notoriously weak power, and being able to cast this would not imbalance the class in any way. I can think of several other lesser powers that you could grant for free and it would not imbalance this class, examples being the Morninglord's Alleviate Suffering, Eternal Order's Final Rest, and so on and so forth. Evil faiths on the other hand would have some mechanical bonuses like Enchantment Focus and Keen Sense, and even Frightful Presence to some degree, but this is thematically appropriate in the setting anyway.

The intent in regular play is that if you are badly impaired through a crit, someone should take you to a NPC or PC who can cast Resurrection. The threat of getting badly impaired on massive damage is one of the reasons you shouldn't adventure without friends to drag your body back.

You certainly shouldn't have to wait for several weeks to respawn -- indeed this is generally the worst case scenario; by the time you're higher level, you will lose a large number of levels; a level 20 PC may lose somewhere in the region of 5 levels. A high level PC can fairly easily make 20,000 gold in one evening, but re-leveling after a respawn will take months if not a year. The respawn option is mostly something for lower level folk.

The reason the wait period is long for respawning from a badly impaired has to do with PvP; that's a whole other debate. The ability to respawn from badly impaired is already a compromise; in the "good old days", nobody could respawn from their corpse being badly impaired. The intent there is that death ought to have consequences.

My character with a max of about 43hp had 1hp left. He got crit for about 56 damage...
This resulted in instant death (of course). It also prevents me from walking into the light and resurrecting for several weeks.
It also says that even if I could lead someone to my corpse to get a Resurrection, it would cost several thousand fangs because the body is mangled.

While I understand the logic behind making massive damage deaths a bad thing that you should avoid, I also think that forcing a player to stop playing for several weeks after a monster gets a lucky crit is a bit extreme. The fang cost makes sense to me. Having a delay before you can resurrect seems fair... But, weeks? That's a long time to spend playing some other game before I'm allowed to return here after a random monster got a lucky crit.

I don't disagree with the system, but I suggest shortening the wait period by a lot.

Maybe make it In Game weeks instead of Real Life weeks?
