Title: [Joint proclamations from the Sanctuaries of the Coming Dawn & Eternal Dawn]
Post by: Doom on July 29, 2007, 02:08:41 AM
[These are the proclamations and statements from the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn and the Sanctuary of the Eternal Dawn...]

For refugees in Sanctuary of Coming Dawn

Visitors and those seeking shelter in our church are most warmly welcomed. However, we kindly ask you to remember the following:

Please do not sell merchandise in the church.
The area behind the archway is for members of the congregation.
Varja to conceal yourself is not allowed within the church.
Under no terms is dark varja tolerated or malignant, known practitioners of such allowed service.
Large animals and creatures which may scare or act against those in the church, shall stay outside.
Please respect the wishes of the Lightcarriers and Dawnbringers and those who seek peace and quiet from the Sanctuary.

The Church of the Morninglord will at all times respect the orders of the Vallaki Garda and while in the church, we expect the same from you.

It is great sadness that I must inform you all that the dwarf Vanolly is partially banned from the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn located in the western outskirts of Vallaki. He is still welcomed into all other shrines, but due to his reckless and irresponsible behaviour I've no other choice but to ban him from the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn for his reckless endangerment of friends, Children of the Dawn and Dawnbringers, as well as abusing of the goodwill of its Dawnbringers and the blessings of the Morninglord.

As such, he is to be given immediate aid to his needs and be escorted out. If he recklessly continues to goad and taunt the enemy and risking others, I will have no choice but to fully ban him. When he has learned some measure and respect for himself and others, he shall be allowed back inside the premises.

Sanctuary of of Coming Dawn

As a temporary measure for the problems below the us, we are now allowing guests to briefly be allowed back to douse their weapons with our sacred water.  You are only allowed as long as you state your intentions to a Light Carrier show us a clean weapon carefully.  We do not like our water dirty or drank from.  Caliban and those that use dark vraja are not allowed back to do this at all!

Please do not loiter unless you are helping some pitic that can't reach.

The dark clothed human woman known as Marie that wields a blade of red life taking vraja, is an enemy of the Church of the Morninglord.  She has sided with the undead against all that is living and good and ambushed my own party to do the Morninglord's work responding to a situation.  She works with revenants.

There is a Revenant or a group of them organizing the undead in the crypts.  "What the Dead take the Dead Keep." and "I'll kill you." are generally hints toward their nature of being base hatreds of life.  She sided with them.

Further information on these matters of Marie or the Revenants on future incidents and happenings will be welcome, multimesc.

The Female Identified as 163, also known as Hope, baring the numbers 163 on her fore head, whom stammers in her speech and has the pale visage of death Is here by denied sanctuary at all houses, temples and sanctuaries of the morning lord.

Crimes against are as follows.

Conspiring to do harm to the faithful of the morning lord.

Conspiring with dark forces and the undead to do harm to the faithful of the morning lord.

Assaulting a faithful of the morning lord.

Disrespecting and disregarding the terms of sanctuary over the sanctuary of coming dawn.

Should this female be found in any of the morning lords Houses, temples or sanctuaries she must be escorted off of the premises, she should be considered both armed and dangerous and will likely plead and twist words to any who will listen to her, do not under any circumstances entertain any such attempts from her. Should she wish to repent her wicked ways and make amends for her crimes she must be directed to create correspondence by mail with one of our vicars or the reverend bishop Ilie him self.

May thy lips be cleansed,

Light carrier Sola.

[A Notice is posted in the Temples of the Dawn]

The woman known as Cassie, with the marking of the number 163, is now banned from the Temples of the Dawn. She is until further noticed to be removed from the temple should she be found to be seeking refuge. She has openly attacked members of the congregation and speaks slander while in the temple. Should she continue to trespass up the temple ground she will be known as a enemy of the Dawn, and treated as such.

I do this with great sorrow, and hope that she will change her ways from the dark path she is walking down. No direct harm should come to her for trespassing, but removed from the temple.

For the practicing of sacrificial rituals and demonic summoning below the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn.
Should these actions continue the Lightcarriers will be told to attack on sight.

For now the woman Yuki will be escorted off temple grounds until such time Lightcarrier Sir Solomon Burke sees fit.

The following men are here by banned from the Sanctuary and will be escorted out upon arrival.
Zereko 'Last name unknown' and his dwarven accomplice have been banned for summoning foul demons outside of the temple.
The result being the murder of Garda members, the slaying of church allies, and putting many innocent lives in danger.
We pray for their forgiveness from the Dawnfather, and hope they repent for these awful sins.  Turn away from ones darkness into the light.

As a reminder to all those aiming to make a donation to the church, please approach a recognized Dawnbringer or Lightcarrier.
Though we put faith in our patrons and their honesty, we must be realistic and assume donations left at our altar can be stolen.

If a Dawnbringer or Lightcarrier is not present, seek out a layman who can relay a message to us that you wish to donate to the church.

To further offer what we can for those struggling with the harsh reality that is being taken away from one's home and forced into these lands, the congregation of the outskirts temple shall provide tonics to assist the downtrodden. If you are in dire need of assistance in such a manner, seek out Dawnbringer Oristesen in the outskirts temple. Please be aware any who are currently banned from any temple, or maintains poor standing with the Garda will not be given tonics to use.

For those wishing to aid the temple in providing tonics, please look into either offering your own or collecting herbs and donating them. For any other charity (excluding weapons), please also speak with Dawnbringer Oristesen.

Any of those who are in good standing with the church may request for more powerful tonics be brewed, but herbs must be provided. This will be done without any cost so long as herbs are given for the requested tonics. The temple shall not produce tonics that allow its user to become invisible.

As one's time begins to take shape in Barovia, there still lingers the memory of sin one has committed. It is the call of the Morninglord's faithful to elevate one's guilt and guide them towards a fuller life.

The temple of the Morninglord in the outskirts of Vallaki will begin actively allowing strangers and laymen alike to confess the sins that fill them with guilt. You may also request a dawnbringer to pave a better path for you. Those seeking to join alongside the dawnbringers who they have confessed to, to serve the Morninglord are free to do so after their confession is completed.

Given our leniency on our policy about donated foods it has led to tainted meat being donated. We must now impose restrictions to prevent our congregation, laymen, and the needy from getting sick.

Those who wish to continue donating rewards of their hunt will need to seek out a member of the congregation - dawnbringer or lightcarrier - to be added to a list of trusted donors. One's existence on the list will remain anonymous. All food - vegetables, meat, or bread - will be disposed of otherwise. Furthermore, all food given out through the Sanctuary of the Coming Dawn will be through dawnbringers for the time being until a suitable system is devised. We appreciate all donations made.

With the rules of a troubled time now being archaic in nature, it is the necessity of the church to rescind them.

The church has chosen to rescind a rule that is old, but served great purpose during the time it emerged.

We shall now officially permit others to seek the holy waters of the Dawngiver, for it is a great necessity for most to complete the task offered by the church. However, do not linger more than is necessary, and cooperate with any dawnbringer or lightcarrier that instructs one to provide them privacy behind the arch. Any defilement of our sacred waters will result in an immediate banishment from the temple. Failure to abide by these declarations will see that the rule is put into place once more.

All other rules will remain in place, including laws imposed by the Grey City.
