Title: Loading into the Minus Zone
Post by: Alan Hunter on January 13, 2021, 11:45:23 AM
I don't know what occurs for thia to happen or how to repeat it. It often occurs when the aerver is laggy or after large events but while loading into an area it will load as normal then draw you back at the point of entry. At this point you arr load into a map thatvhas no npcs, placables, or waypoints. You are inadvertantly force to exit the game as there is no way out and have to relog in. Not sure if others have had this problem. But, it happens often so far this week since the last update.

It's happened to me before, I'm pretty sure it's just a failure to load the map. I don't think there's really much of a solution than to log out and back in of the game, sadly - but luckily that isn't too big of a deal. :)

What you are experiencing is server desync. This is a common issue with lag. Your only option is to reconnect to the server.

As above, the experience of missing creatures entirely, "someone" attacking you in the combat log, attempting to transition and falling into a black screen is usually superceding the crash due to errors in code or corrupted  or packet loss from long periods of playing.

Close NWN fully and reconnect, you'll be good.
