Title: To the Drain [note left next to others at the entrance]
Post by: Kaninchen on December 13, 2020, 12:10:13 PM
To dwellers in the drain, it has come to light that one Domenico has murdered one of your own, Evenin', and I'm curious how this has been received by others who reside here. Evening is very obviously a caliban, and has dwelled there before.
Does it not bother you that a fellow caliban was murdered, and had his corpse hidden away by Domenico? Domenico has said it was in self defense, and that Evenin' was bespelled by a red wizard.
It strikes me odd then, that he would use Evenin' as a hostage in the hopes someone else deals with his problems, instead of raising Evenin' away from the would-be puppet master. I figure some things, like making bed with vampires, can be over looked. But I'd think Domenico using Evenin' as leverage, as a hostage, in his schemes would anger other denizens of the drain to oust him from your depths.
Today it serves Domenico's aims to use Evenin.' Next week, it could be any one of you being slaughtered as a means to whatever ends he comes up with. It also comes to mind the scenario of someone doing Domenico's dirty work, and he doesn't produce Evenin's body. Domenico's actions certainly don't instill confidence he will honor his word in this. The choice is yours if you wish to continue aiding one who hurts your own, or if you exile him to find safe haven elsewhere.

Title: A note nailed against the bottom of this one.

The nail seems to be made from iron.

Dear, curious party.

Some of us are looking for Evenin' to recover his body and your assistance is certainly appreciated. But, the very fact that you call Evenin' a Caliban speaks more words than this letter does itself, despite your 'care' you have never known the man as a person and quite honestly I find that more vile than your attempts to pull denizens of the Drain into more trouble than they are due, the Drain is a place of sanctuary and business. If you're too afraid to name yourself it's clear you aren't someone who is very welcome here.

Bes'lyth.

A hastily scrawled note can be seen pinned in the drain with a high-quality steel nail.

If the one called Evenin has yet to be found, please leave word in the outskirts or at the Lady's rest. I have a vested interest in seeing him alive once again.
