Hello,
I've joined the server on the last day of the last new player event, and started a human character.
I didn't apply at that time for any EEc.
I was wondering if it was possible to roleplay as either a pureblood yuan ti or a descendant who has some resurgence of snake features, and if that would require an EEC application, because i'm not looking to increase or decrease the base characteristics, it would be to roleplay someone who needs to keep buying products to conceal some of his features, and focus on snake themed ailities....
I've searched the forum for similar topics, but the most recent was in 2011 about a half blood. Though i also found a character biography for a yuan ti in like 2006, but nothing else.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

Sadly, no. Unless it were added as one of our subraces, roleplaying anything like that would be considered cheesing.

oh well
so if i understand it right, any character having features that are "anormal" for his race or hint at a non-common lineage for any reason is considered to be EEC and/or from a different race?

That’s right.

Yeah, we support roughly 60 subraces and around 10 monstrous templates. What’s available to play is listed at character creation.

A purely human char with a snake fascination would maybe be an option?
-
Or a bard snake charmer? ;)

I love Yaun-ti, I'd love to see some Yaun-ti shenanigans thrown into the mix by some of our DM's some day.
You could play a snake cultist, or a native from Toril, that gives you lots of options. As an out lander from Chult, or Calimshan you could have a fascination for snakes, venom, and lurking in the shadows. One of my favorite Goddesses is Talona, the Lady of Poison, Mistress of Disease, and Mother of All Plagues, she would make an excellent deity for a character who likes to use poison and diseases, who venerates snakes, frogs, reptiles, and other poisonous/venomous creatures. Or you could play as a Mulhorandi from Thay. If you wanted to be a Ravenloft native you can choose Set as a deity, and be a native from Har'Akir. You have lots of options, you might even get swome other players who want to rock up similar characters and create a cult of your own.

Saw someone pretty much roleplaying as a Yuan ti a few days ago, just so you know.

Best that be reported to the authorities then. It's still not feasible.
