I just got the Enhance version and I am unable to log in to Ravenloft or other servers I that I play on. Does anyone else have these issues?
-
Could you give a bit more information? Any error message or explanation of what happens when you try to login on a server would help.
-
Be sure to follow the instructions in this thread, install the HAK pack correctly and make sure the CEP files are copied in the appropriate folders.

Also to see your vault of characters on our test server, be sure to edit your nwnplayer.ini file to add this in the [Profile] section, right under the "JournalPage=2" entry:
Player Name=[Account Name]
Password=[Password]
Remember Password=1
This ought to resolve your issues.

I downloaded the package, but every time I tried to get in POTM on NWN EE it crashes. Here is the screenshot of the crash and the log.

Try to follow the step MAB posted, if it still doesn't work, you could try going on the Beamdog forum, perhaps more people there will have had the same problem as you and might have found a solution to it.
-
Please remember the download link in the announcement is just for the update. You will need all the normal hak files in your NWN Diamond file as well moved to your EE folder. This looks similar to that crash issue.
-
:(Could be that as well yes
 Get all the required file listed in that thread first : http://www.nwnravenloft.com/forum/index.php?topic=862
You can also copy the file you are using for your 1.69 NWN installation instead of redownloading everything
 Then download the file for the EE Test server, can find those here : http://www.nwnravenloft.com/forum/index.php?topic=48413.msg598921#msg598921
-
Also, please make sure you are connecting to the test server and not the normal POTM server.
46.4.59.55:5124 is the EE server.
I mention this because you were playing on the regular server the other night without problems.
If you are trying to connect to 46.4.59.55:5121 with EE, it's not going to work.

Got it to work for now. Thanks everyone.
Looking forward to when we make the move to EE.

How did you fix it? I'm having the same problem now. Only I'm using Beamdog.

Any tips to get this running? I'm having the same issues as EberronBruse had.

As ever...
1) Make sure you have the CEP files installed. This is the most likely cause of your problem.
If your non-EE NWN is set up to connect to PotM the quickest way is just to copy your hak and tlk folders over to your NWN:EE installation.
2) THEN, install the hakpack update.

Still doesn't work.

I had the same problem but I fixed it by placing it in the correct folder. I thought I was supposed to place it on the steam folders because that's the program I was using.
I fixed it by placing the files in "My Documents - Neverwinter Nights".

That's what I've been doing. [shrugs]
Got it to work.

I seem to be unable to find the server entirely. I've downloaded the game and copied all the required files to the appropriate folders in the appropriate sections, then used the IP direct connect provided along with the password. I've added the player account section to the nwplayer. When I run the game and attempt to connect, it informs me that it is unable to find the server. I do not see it on the lists either.

Thats odd, because when I play NWN EE, to get the haks to work I put them in one of my steam directorys :?

You should really put it in the Documents directory, not in the Steam side. :|
-
If you put it in your steam folder, those file will be removed whenever there is an update most likely. You should try to avoid as much as possible adding/removing/editing folder in the steam directory. Unless you want to redo everything everytime there is an update for NWN EE.
At least, that behavior is true for Beamdog version, I'm pretty sure Steam works the same as well.
-
:lightbulb: Ah I see now, I was getting confused. I never noticed those NWN folders in my documents, I was putting the overrides in the steam/apps/NWN folder which I'm not entirely sure even worked or not. I can see why some people had trouble finding where to put the haks, if you go looking in the steam directories you can find a hak folder, I see why people got confused about where to put the hak files.
