We could probably do with an @age command to add or update character ages.

+1

I agree.

Yes, that should be simple enough to do. I'll add this on my to do list. But be patient, I have higher priority projects going on.
-
Totally agree.

Can we make it so an age range is displayed if used on someone else?

I initially squee for joy at this suggestion, however, there's a caveat. Half elves often look younger than their physical age due to their elven traits. Some high cha characters might look younger due to their high charisma/misdirection/dark power/make-up/force of personality/a good esthetician. A cha modifier or maybe even influence rank might be a good variable if an exact age isn't displayed. after all it would be difficult to get an exact age IRL of someone. I am constantly told i look 23 and act 17. XD

After consulting with the coding gurus, I must unfortunately inform you that it is quite unlikely to happen. As it stands, there is no function to set the age of a character through the API, such function is a requirement to be able to the creation of an @command feature that would allow to adjust a character age.
There is a simple workaround for you though. The actual age of a char has no impact on the game and cannot be seen by others. However, on a voluntary basis, you can simply state the age your character, or an idea of it, in your char's description and edit it as needed (@description command).
I apologize if my hasty words gave you a false glimmer of hope.

Is there anyway to view your own age though?
-
Yes, through the "Examine Object" feature.
