As the title says, I have buffs on my gauntlets that don't get counted when fighting without a weapon.

I think you had the same issue my ampc wight had. It uses creature weapon instead of your gloves.
-
I hope it's fixed or the forced creature weapon is simply removed.
It's annoying because hector's ring doesn't work fully either.

If they remove the forced creature weapon I believe your base fist damage will be reduced to 1d3. Also fairly certain that all is hardcoded.

I rather had a stable, functioning 1d3 + str + 2, rather than x2 1d6 and a d4 that doesn't work with my gauntlets.

Try casting the spell on yourself with no weapons equipped, not on the gloves themselves.
-
Wouldn't casting a varnish on yourself just throw it / explode? The 1d12 looks like a varnish to me.

You'd need creature weapon buffs, which is basically only greater magic fang + elemental weapon buffs.

I am still fairly certain it's hard-coded; EO could confirm.

I was using a varnish for the 1d12 fire.

Bump.
Will the Devs do anything about this?
-
I'll fix it so when using varnishes on the gloves, it'll apply the buffs on the creature weapons instead.

Awesome!

This should now be fixed. Can you test?

Fire now properly registers when using it on gloves.
Only ... now Savage Claws spells does not register the AB bonus.
-
This issue seems to affect Monks now. Varnish does not add damage.

Can you be more specific? Does the varnish affect the gloves at all? I'd need screenshots if possible.

This has been true for a while.
Found the problem. Will fix in my next update.
When the varnish is applied, nothing happens at all except the varnish is consumed. I tried it with multiple varnishes on multiple sets of gloves multiple times over the past month.
It is a big handicap to a class that has no other way of buffing its weapon.

Try it on the test server; it's likely fixed there.

Can confirm the varnish issue is fixed on the test server.
