[Strange notices have suddenly begun to appear around the Vallaki area. Never placed quite in plain sight, they lurk just beyond the edge of where the normal man dare tread. In places of filth, in places of shadow, these unsettling notices appear as if seeking such places out of their own accord. On them, a depiction of a bloodied blade and a curious scrawled message. Just as they begin to appear, one may hear of a strange figure making an appearance in the Drain. A figure, entirely silent, garbed in dark clothing and wearing some manner of macabre mask bearing the visage of a deformed being. It speaks to no one and does not stay long, but even among the wretched and deformed who inhabit those tunnels, this figure seems out of place. Perhaps this is another petty gang of opportunists who will rise and fall within the week. Or perhaps this is the beginning of something much longer in the making...]

[After months of silence, more strange notices begin to litter Vallaki. Just as before, these notices are placed in the Grey City's alleyways, throughout its sewers, in places of decay and darkness -- places that invite skulduggery and treachery. As the new, fresh notices, another strange figure makes an appearance in the Drain, though not the same as the one that visited months previous. It is a thin, gaunt figure, entirely silent, wearing voluminous robes and concealing their face with wrappings. It speaks with Hoth, in an artificially deep voice only for a brief moment, before leaving, never staying for long.]

[After nearly half a year has passed, once again these notices start to crop up across Vallaki. Hidden down dark alleyways, tight corners and places better left forgotten, they seem well at home in locations of filth and decay. Those who tread in the Grey City's shadier portions of town may soon find them to be a common fixture.]
