I'm playing a pretty feral Sy'Tel'Quessir druid - she doesn't speak Common, rarely strays outside the forest... and I think I might be screwed. Her primary weapon is a bow, which means she needs arrows. Canonically speaking, this is a character who fashions her own crude weapons out of raw materials, but I'm pretty sure the only way to craft arrows on the server involves blacksmithing, which... isn't exactly appropriate for a druid, who cannot use metal. Am I screwed?

There is an elf NPC in the outskirts who sells arrows, he's on the northwestern side in a small house. Otherwise I'm not sure what merchants are in Degannwy, but I'm sure you've been there already.
-
Thanks for the tip! Was hoping to avoid merchants though :<

You might be able to find another elf to sell you arrows as well. It's not at all uncommon for elves to provide for each other, particularly Sy'Tel'Quessir and Or'Tel'Quessir.
-
That could work! As long as they trade in pelts :D
-
Hmmm except I guess they would have to be crafted with metal arrowheads too...
-
I'm pretty certain there is no trouble with druids in general using metal weapons, thought the only trouble was with armour? Though if your character personally wouldn't use metal, yeah, I think you may be out of luck with arrows. I've never seen stone, bone, or obsidian arrows on the server

We need iron-wood arrows!

Depends on your source material. Almost universally no armor or shields made of metal, although druidic followers of Mielikki are generally cool with metal arms and armor. My character is from the jungles of Chult, however, and likely associates metal arms with Amnian invaders, the vile unnatural scum. :P

Actually, it was ruled that you can't use metal if you worship Mielikki, as it's unfair to other druids who do not. There were other rulings regarding what does and does not count towards the metal rule, offhand I want to say jewelry is allowed but I don't remember 100%.

I second this :D

Are these rulings on this server or some upstream source book? Hadn't heard about it til now.

Server rules. I found the thread for it. (http://www.nwnravenloft.com/forum/index.php?topic=38257.msg480351#msg480351)
BahamutZero posted saying that (http://www.nwnravenloft.com/forum/index.php?topic=38257.msg480669#msg480669) according to the 3.5 D&D rules, the no-metal thing is for armour only, so you can use rings and weapons possibly. BahamutZero is not a DM though and Blue didn't make a ruling on what he said, so, take that with a grain of salt.

Neat! As far as my character is concerned, though, metal is the devil. Nevertheless, thanks for the link. Good to know!
