Title: Upcoming Spell Change: Time Stop
Post by: Apsalar on October 31, 2016, 03:59:31 PM
In the near future we will be introducing a change to Time Stop with the intention of bringing it closer to its Pen & Paper version. Our hope is that Time Stop will remain a powerful spell with regard to its intended use of preparation and/or escape while no longer being so enormously powerful for killing monsters and players. For reference the Pen & Paper version can be found here. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/timeStop.htm)

We want Time Stop to have simple, understandable rules while being as close to its P&P counterpart as possible. To this end, creatures caught in Time Stop will be under the following effects:
The intention is that any spell or attack that causes direct harm to a creature will have no effect, however actions like buffing/healing yourself and allies or setting down AoE duration spells will be options.

We will be observing how this change alters gameplay and we hope the playerbase will provide us with feedback, especially with regard to how the AI handles using the spell.

  • Immunity to all spells

As a technical detail, immunity to spells only has an effect if the spell allows for a spell resistance check. For example, Grease would be unaffected.
