Salutations all mist dwellers!
Since being hosted at Google has been proven to be less than ideal from a performance and stability standpoint, and the price much higher than the competition, we've decided to migrate to a different server hosting - namely hetzner.de. There we can get much superior hardware for less than 2/3rds the cost. Many professional companies are hosted there as well as other major NWN servers such as Arelith, and from them there's been nothing but positive feedback.
If all goes well, we plan to upgrade sometimes mid next week, but you can already go check it out at 46.4.59.55. There's a copy of the current servervault there, so you should be able to log in with your own characters. In fact, it would be a great help if you could at least stop by once to check out if everything works as it should, but doing further testing is also very much appreciated. And don't worry about throwing yourself into the fray, because for now all that happens on the new server is not considered IC and it will all be restored to the state of our current server when the actual migration happens.
Overall, we are very excited to see what this change of host will have of effect on everyone's experience. And since it all is in fact funded by you through your generous donations and support, it is all of us that thank you for making this possible at all. So remember to share some love out there :cloud9:

Seems like door locks might be having issues. When I hopped in-game I noticed the Vallaki gates were open at night. Then it turns out someone got into Castle Ravenloft because it's entirely unlocked.

The Vistani Captain at the Mist Camp will issue no dialogue if a weapon is held when talked to by a character. Removing a weapon issues the standard travel choices.
I know on the normal server he will tell you to put the weapon away.

Here's another I noticed - I don't get messages for new players logging into the server in my chat box.. only when they log out.
--Correction-- This started working as usual again, at least for me. It might have been affected by all the placeables the DM was spamming down? Lots of graphical lag then, and I started seeing the messages once more after the numerous placeables were thinned out.

I need to do more testing but I dont seem to be able to animal empathy baleful polymorphed creatures anymore.
Oxen turned into frogs were tested.

Wish I'd done more looting on the test server before it was live. The rope transition from Blaustien down to the shores by the Reaver caves appears to be broken. I can click on it and my screen goes black for a second, but after that I'm exactly where I started. Up on the cliff.

Redownload the PotM haks and override the ones you currently have.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you guys know that all the guard transitions from the bottom of the wall to the top of the wall and vise versa do not work. When I click on the mini transition I am just stuck in the same spot. It's acting like a glitch, and it's not lag because I am not receiving any lag at all. Thanks guys!

To add to this: All transitions that use a jump rather than an area transition are not working for players as far as I can tell. This includes intermediate transitions in the Scrag dungeon, the Blaustein rope transition, the Vallaki city walls, and also DM placeable transitions. They do work for DMs for some reason. For everyone else, they enter, the blackout effect plays, and then they are placed back where they started.

My character Bram Swift is bugged in area called Balinok Mountains - Forest Descend. He's flying above the green hills. Tried to relog twice - didn't help.

Not 100% sure if this is new or old, but the crafting tables in the Zeklos Outpost are a tad wonky. If you're not in just the right spot when you click them you wind up running around them like a one man game of duck duck goose. They're not broken, just a tad buggy. You can get to them if you really want to, just a little off putting.

A problem with the Rope's algorythm. At the moment I noticed it only in Blausteine.
When you "use" the rope to "climb down" , the screen fades away , you got the "specific buffs" but you appear at the same place.
Like if you want to use a rope from point A to point B , you will appear at point A.
Update : Ah , it was been written 1000 times already :lol: :lol: :lol:
Jaoood, we have the same things going on in the doors in Vallaki, no short term transitions work.

posted earlier on the wrong bit i think. The first stair way in the demonologists temple trans is broken, so, there may be other broken ones there as well.

The transition behind the fishing lodge along the river north seems broken.

Actually, the bug with transitions wasn't caused by the new server. It just happened that at the same time we migrated we also released an update that broke that.
A fix is already ready but it's just a matter of updating the server.

Another thing I have noticed is some prices seem odd even in the new character area and starting locales
Case in point in a winter cloak (worn or otherwise) is over 400 gold in the new character area and with petre where before normally they sold for about 50ish or so i think 400 gold is impossible to get due to only gettin 250. Plus weapons too are showing up oddly there and elsewhere a shortbow in the new area usually was about 15 or so gold but when i recently tried to get it with my new pc she couldnt since it was costing well into the 150 mark!
Something seems off here so likely something with pricing needs to be looked at

This goes for the hoods there too, some are absolutely absurd in prices.
