I think that there was accidently something done to the lighting of the caravans...the interior of the Caravans are now impossible to see in, provided a screenshot of Markus in the Caravan...its worse then Finding Waldo...

It's always been like that, because there are no lights in the wagon. You have to bring your own light I reckon.
-
actually no, this is something new, I have never needed a light source inside till the more recent update.
-
It is not new, it has always been like that. If you travel during the day you do not need a light source.
That said, it would be kind of nice to have some kind of small oil lamp or lantern in there or something.
-
I have travelled day and night with no light source and never had it that dark.
-
Are you playing a character without any vision feats? Playing an elf and now a human can be very traumatic at night as far as seeing in the dark goes. :)
-
the char is and always was a Human
-
I promise the caravans have never had a light source
Some people don't notice this because most players have a light source item, so if you get on one with a group then chances are -someone- is lighting up the area
So now that we've cleared that up, I do think it's be nice if a light source were added to them. Just a small lamp inside would be enough to give off a dim light for those people who don't have one of their own
-
I can confirm there were never any light sources in those areas but yeah could be a good idea to add one.

This would not surprise me, given the number of items with some sort of light effect on them. As a elf iv never noticed such, specially with always having TS up. But i do like the idea of adding a little something in there. I think over all the little cart interior could do with a little refreshing actually, feels a bit dated after the camp got a nice little update.

It's a drastically different experience to get in that caravan as a human after playing a dwarf for so long.
I do remember you having an elf that went back and forth from the Mist Camp, while I scarcely remember Markus leaving Barovia. You, being the player of Markus, know better than I how often he's been in the caravan, but I think the drastic difference you're noticing is that the carvan was lighter on Sister Rose than it was on Markus.

Taking the caravan discussion in a different direction... just a small idea that would add realism to the ride... an occasional, randomly timed, very small screen bump.

I do this to parties riding in the caravan sometimes.

This thread made me curious, so I took some screenshots. This one is without any light emitting item on the character:

And this is with resistance ring on, which emits light:

As you can see, at least on my screen, the little lamp to the left is actually shedding light into the interior, regardless of whether the character has his/her own light sources. There have been instances however where I entered the caravan without wearing a light emitting item and it was pitch black. Must be a glitch or something.

Woops.. doublepost :P
-
They added a light source a couple updates ago. :)

That explains a lot! I didn't notice the dates of the previous posts... d'uh
