Title: Typos in item descriptions
Post by: MAB77 on February 23, 2015, 04:27:27 AM
Helm of Nobility

"now way to die" should be replaced by "no way to die"

Mordenheim's Lightning Rod

On the first line it is written "Th e" instead of "The"

Good thought, I'll be looking out for typos as well to post here.

I also hate to be that person (though it is amusing given the topic) but the word typos doesn't require an apostrophe, as it's plural, not possessive.

While we are at it can someone please look at statues in the Svalich pass, I'm sure the stone mason who inscibed them suffered a horrible death.

Good catch. Will be fixed in the next update. - EO

Yeah, I thought that was ironic.

Giuseppe's doll somehow has all the iterations of Giuseppe spelled Guiseppe.

Theatre de la Cathedrale

Lighting fixtures/levers: Light Strenght (supposed to be strength)

There it is corrected. Never hesitate to correct me if I make mistakes, that is how I learn. ;)

Not sure if this applies to items names as well, but the item "Travellers Boots" should be spelled "Travelers Boots" Unless its supposed to be spelled that way for a reason O..o?

In the character creation list of backgrounds, this amusing typo popped up.
'Inept ability' is an oxymoronic phrase, inept meaning unskilled or incompetent!
I imagine it was meant to be 'innate ability', but that doesn't make too much sense either, as technical skills are learnt.
Though I suppose necessity is the mother of invention... anyway, I am getting distracted.

I'm sure there's a good word or phrase to use as a replacement, something like 'Technicians are highly capable of working with advanced devices.'

Oh, there's a typo on that statue in that one dungeon behind trolls in har'akir, the description of it. Forgot to screenshot but whatever.

Dunno if there's a more appropriate thread, but there's a couple minor typos on the nwnravenloft.com pages. Nothing glaring, I don't think I noticed them the first time I read them.

On the home page:

"whether it's to attain power, fightingt (fighting) against evil or merely trying to survive."

-

On the about page:

"it exists in it's (its) own time and space"

"making them loose (lose) track"

"The mist always have it's (has its) own cryptic purpose of claiming people"

In the description of the Barovian Wine item it says "suddently" instead of suddenly. Sold in the Blood of the Vine inn and probably a bunch of other places as well.

Potion of Revealing (crafted through herbalism) says "elexir" in the description instead of elixir. It also reads "things that's" instead of things that are.
