I've been away for...a little bit, and I recently got the shakes, and started to want to play again. However, Everytime I attempt to join the server it appears like it's down. I find this highly unlikely.
(Running Windows 8 with the direct connect batch file, I've also tried nwn "Direct connecting" which also does not work.)
My friend in North Carolina (United States) is having the same problem,
My guesses are That: we either missed a memo, or there's something regional going on.
Any ideas?

Maybe I was just too lazy in my search for posts about crashing... most recent thing I found was from the 8th
