 :cloud9:

Got the idea because I was tired of having to check the time constantly when waiting to rest, but I figure it'll have benefits in many situations...

I love it. My only recommendation would be maybe making it a different color (unless the idea is to make it blend in with everything else, which is fine too).

It's winter on the server at the moment, right?

The sun rises at 8:38 and sets at 15:38 (3:38 PM) when it is solstice in Denmark. Further north it doesn't even rise when it's that time of the year. Not insane at all.

I wish the sun lasted until 1530 here!

haha. even in dead of winter here the sunset has been around 18:30 everyday.    In the summer its closer to 2200 daily. What a difference latitude can make eh.

Actually, every location on Earth get roughly the same amount of hours with the sun in the sky annually - high in the north, we just got very long days in the summer. In fact, at the north pole, you have half a year of day and half a year of night.

Unfortunately, not every person gets the same amount of sun around the globe, taken our habit of sleeping at night in summer when it'd be bright as day out here. Can't win! You'll be anxious and depressed for sun in the dead of the winter, and can't sleep at all in middle of summer without heavy black curtains. :pbbbtt:

Still does here. ;)

EDIT: Oh.. And good feature, by the by!

Time zones are somewhat arbitrary. The USA are fairly sensible about it but it gets wonkier in Europe.

Spoiler: show
(http://sniper-clan2009.webs.com/Europe_time_zones_map_en.png)

The UTC+1 zone stretches from Spain to Poland.

5:20 PM
Sunset in Warsaw, Poland

7:09 PM
Sunset in Madrid, Spain

Don't get me started on Asian timezones...
