Title: Stacking lvl-ups!
Post by: Mailbox0000 on February 21, 2013, 12:27:01 PM

 Heyyyy guys!   8)

Got a question.. I have a PC I never leveled... and then according to the XP messages, I gained a whole other lvl and the messages reset, as they do when you lvl.

Now, I've heard that someone else who had done this before only actually got 1 lvl when they decided to finally lvl up.

So what is going to happen when I -do- lvl?  Will I only be awarded one?  :|

Fairly sure you don't lose XP. I had a friend who went directly from 2 to 4 in between two rests.

This.  When I first rolled Cosmin I didn't know about the rest system.  During that time, I collected enough exp to go from 2-4 as well.

To be precise, each rest only gives you one level up. But you don't lose XP between rests, in my estimation.

This basically if i am understanding the question, IF you get the xp from lvl 2 - 3 and rest only once and lvl you  hit three then if you AGAIN gain the xp to go from 3-4 it dings you, OF COURSE usually so doing xp caps you right quick I know from many of my own experiences

Let me give the precise scenario which I witnessed this: a friend of mine was new to the server and tagging along with our party to check out the sights of the server. We did a couple of dungeons and she stayed at the back, because we were all wildly higher level than her.

We go to rest at the nearby temple; she rests once, levels up once to level 3. Two IG hours later, at my heeding, she rests again and levels up to 4.

This implies no XP is lost for "over-levelling" or "level-stacking".

Exactly though honestly I wonder sometimes on that, cause i ahve gone from lvl 2-4 on SEEMINGLY ONLY rp xp and yet i got capped once or twice, so i can only be left to figure it was a dm hitting me with the xp wand without realizing

Stacking is quite possible. Done it many times.
