I'm not really sure how to look this up....
What is the current minimum level to contribute xp for an enchanted item? Is it allowed to ask approximately how much of a level, or levels, folks will lose? Is the xp cost the same for weapons and armor?
I know that xp is not the focus of the server, but it is nice to have a bit of knowledge on this subject oocly when making a decision on something that really impacts a PC.
The minimum level is my main question.

Level 14
-
XP lost depend on What you enchanted, but is always drop 1 level :)
-
The experience cost for weapons and armor are different.
-
Awesome thank u all for the info! :)

You do not always drop a level. I just had my main's bow enchanted. he is level 17, was close to 18. bow enchanted, didn't loosea level. went back to the begining of 17 tho as far as I can tell by rest messages.
And you can always check by placing the item into the enchanter. it tells you the exact cost.
-
Can you enchant bows or crossbows at +2 or +3 to be actually able to hit anything? It's kinda annoying 'cause of the fact that GMW doesn't work on ranged weapons.
-
bows are enchanted into pure +3 weapons

Enchanting
Arcane Device[Rod(by wizard7+ / sorcerer7+ / bard9+)]
Enchanted Item(1x Essence, 1x Crafted Equipment, Nx XP(from 14+ person in circle))
I got a question related to this from one topic.
If I am a lets say 15 lv wizard, will the XP cost come from me or do I actually need another char next to me to do it?
If so, do both chars have to be 14+ or just one?
Is there a list of what kind of enchantments I can get on which type of item?
Thanks.

There is a circle in the enchanting area. Whoever is in the circle gets drained of XP, be it the enchanter or someone else. The enchanter can drain himself by standing in the circle while using the rod (haven't tried it, but I just assume this). Only the person in the circle needs to be lvl 14+.
No list of enchantments that I know of, but it can be discovered IG.

The wizard/sorc needs to be 7+, the victim of the enchanting needs to be 14+
-
When you say lvl 14, does it take into consideration the ECL or the normal level?

Indeed, I have done this.

Ok! So the only thing I need is the list of what can one actually make before selling a soul.
Btw, is forfarian (hope I'm spelling it correct) claymore available in crafting? :D

Not sure... probably normal level but I've never tested.

All crafted weapons, shields, helms armour and boots can be enchanted, I believe.

That's the one with bludgeoning potential right? I'm afraid it isn't. Only the greatsword with 1d8 damage.

Bastard sword does enchant just fine and so does full plate.
-
Normal level only for ECL races. As ECL here only decreases your incoming xp

That's good to know. I've been looking for a way to slow down the levelling process. One level every eight or nine months is just too much to handle :p.
