I played on PotM briefly before but due to real life wasn't able to put time towards enjoying it.  That being said, I have time and would love to get involved with PotM again.

Any suggestions?  Is there anything I need to do aside from redownload all the packs and such?

Make a character? :P

You need to be patched up to date (1.69), have the CEP, the Ravenloft haks which you can find on the downloads page, and that's about it.
