Few days ago I noticed that many areas don't have music playing in them anymore.
I'd have to check again, but I believe that all the ones where music is playing are NWN standard musics.
I know many people turn the game music off, but I personally like most of it.
Did something go wrong with the module's music files? Or... what may have gone wrong on my side?
-
I noticed the same thing about a week ago. I didn't make any changes to my configuration, I just logged on one day and it was gone. I'm just too lazy to do a reinstall to check if it's on my side or the server :)
-
Someone mentioned somewhere that the bard in the Vine isn't playing her music. I wonder if it's related.
-
I noticed this too :( Wonder what is up with the music. (i always use the music too)
-
Agreed. It struck me as odd that there was no music in the Lich Tower, which was one of the pieces I really looked forward to listening if I happened to go there with a party. Then I realised music wasn't playing for many other areas as well.
-
ok so far for areas i have noticed this
-Morninglord crypts upper and lower areas and ruins
-Zeklos Crypts upper and lower
-Southern forests east and west
-
I noticed it too. There was no music in the forest near Von Zeklos last time I was there.
-
Wow... so all it took was one person to mention it? Good job Zedrik!
I've noticed the absence in Dvergeheim, the mountain areas, the southern farmlands, the vamp lair and the purple mist dungeon, the outskirts, the Blue Water, the shore by Megan's shop, Megan's shop itself, Degannwy and Gilos' monastery. (I'm not obsessive, I just like those particular tunes :)) It just seems like all the custom music has vanished.
-
It's somehow related to the weather system. Soren just needs some time to fix it. :)

I love music. I can't play it worth a crap :( but I love listening to it. And they made some brilliant choices in music here.

So it's not my end. Cool beans. I'll stop worrying about it then and wait for it to be fixed.

We've had a sudden downpour of silence.

I had noticed in the winter, that it seemed like when it did the cold checks, that if the character took damage the music stopped. It's like the character taking damage without being in combat confuses it what to play, so it doesn't play anything.
-
Ok bards time to start playing ic at the tavers people need there music fix.
-
I noticed this. The Blue Water is the only place I've had music so far. Often, the first second of music will kick in, then dissapear. Is the problem on my end? It doesn't sound wholly the same to what's being discussed here.
-
The bugs are still being ironed out. Should be back soon.
-
I bet its that darn global warming!
-
Ive seen a handfull of bards take up the place of background music!
-
Did some of you experience this in indoor areas? That's quite surprising then, since it signifies it isn't normally related to the weather system.
-
Yeah it is happening in some indoor areas. Particularly the ruins tileset. Probably because the ruins can be both interior and exterior?
-
Just discovered the error, and wasn't even related to the weather system, but in fact the population systems. Thanks for the input all, really helped nailing it down.
