When adding a picture to your signature please be considerate to those that have a slower connection. It also becomes an eyesore when your signature is always 3x larger than your post and It makes things difficult to read. One signature of a reasonable size is fine but stacking numerous pictures in your signature to create a whole art gallery is not. Please nothing bigger than 600 x 130. That space is more than generous to show off your artistic abilities. Also, your total signature space is 600x130, meaning all your signutures and/or adornaments must be in that space.
The option to turn signatures off is also there for those who don't care about all the perty pictures. Go to your profile > Look and Layout Preferances > > Don't show users signatures

size is important with making siggies easier to load but..
more important is how you save the file going "files->save for web"
as opposed to "file->save as.."
it basicly cuts the size down by a tenth, I've just been going around checking sizing and evening knowing
my siggys have a much higher resolution they're usually 1/4 to 1/10 the size of most new siggy makers
it's something so simple and makes a huge differnce

If you have more than one signature the size of 600x130 counts as total for both - NOT per signature. Please change your siggys to the according size or we do it.

:bump: Remember the size limit guys, please. I'm seeing siggies of 150 to 180px per height.

Bumping this, having seen a few folks lately with forum signatures that are getting out of hand.

Hey guys just another bump for this thread, please try to keep your total sig space down to 600 X 130. I've been some sigs as taller than 200.
