The small halfling woman over hears the rumors of the fights. "Ah blast it...all she's back??" She mutters in halfling quietly before adjusting her simple clothes and taking several small breathes before heading out of the temple

A pretty young woman with copper-gold hair and tan skin is often seen around the temple as of let. She seems to be constantly blessing the temple structure and the grounds, invoking some 'Wellspring of Positive energy" and trying to channel this force into the stones of the temple itself, though she also occasionally gives veneration to the Morninglord out of respect to his temple. She also offers "infusions of positive energy and blessings" freely to the passerbys when she has the energy.

(She is casting the level 1 spell 'Bless' on the temple at least 3 times a day. When she blesses the exterior of the temple she blesses it 3 times acrossed the front. When she blesses the interior, she blesses it four times acrossed the entryway, the two divans, and the stairs into the crypts. Passerbys are offered the level 2 spell 'Aid')

Outlander Hunters shake their heads at the lack of game, wondering where all the animals have gone, while native Barovians whisper of dark things moving at night... seemlingly in greater numbers and more frequently than can be remembered in for a long time.

It is as if there is a fell spirit across the land...

A Raven was seen to have entered the church and left a single feather. In light of recent events, this is a sign of good fortune...
Or so the Morninglordians claim...

On the dawn several graves show recent marks from obvious vandalism...Foul and impure words are savagely but clearly hacked into the headstones of such celebrated and honored dead as Dalia, Termas, and a few others.

Light foot prints can be seen criss crossing over the graves, the resting place of the dead trampled upon unceremoniously.

At the nights darkest hour a figure clambers over the wall and escapes, leaving the blaspheming slander for someone to discover.

patrolling the graveyards behind the church
a lonely figure discovers the vandalism
sighing and shaking his head he mutters.

Dont they ever learn
These are the truly dead, they do not care
their lips are cleansed
even when yours are not

naught but futile gestures
naught but folly

*sighing he silently walks back to the church in solitude*

[Barovian peasants and nobles murmur amongst themselves questioning if such outcries are true. Oblivious to the reality of what stalks, but knowing those disreputible rebels flock to the morninglords gospel]

*these notices are posted in the church as well as sent to Krezk*
As of recent days, there have been a string of vrolock attacks arround our Parish here in Vallaki. At the time of writing there have been three, and we have only just had to defend a man from a fourth and repeat strike. I call upon any amongst the flock with expertise in these creatures who could aid us or offer advice in the niceties of combatting it's evil. Morninglord protect us all.

Drudoc looks at the note almost in quiet shock the furrows her brow. She glances about the temple then in turn and rubs her eyes tiredly muttering in halfling. "...Great...just great..."

A pale looking foreigner stares at the note on the Vallaki temple door for the longest time before, checking to make sure there are no witnesses to the act, tearing it from the door, folding it neatly and depositing it in the campfire by the tavern.

[the notes only missing for an hour or so are soon put back up in different writing then before with the same words and plea for help]

[Then young halfling dressed in dark black armor hinted with various spikes and carrying several bandoliers worth of darts grins wryly mentally thinking]..."This should prove interesting for target practice." She grins again before skulking back into the shadows.

A number of the corpses tossed outside for burial have begun to lose random pieces of bone.

No one knows where the bones go, but they are removed with intense surgical precision.

At times it seems that several of the corpses left outside for burial have simply vanished.. The peasants whisper among themselves if its due to dark magic or some ghoulish creature.. Some even say it is the morninglordians sick and twisted rituals that make the bodies vanish.

Several people claim to have seen the Morninglordian known as Kane standing outside the church on many nights. Some say he appears to be looking for someone.

It's been rumored that opening a grave in the temple crypts can unleash all sorts of beasties and nasties.  Some can be fatal.

Fresh Lightcarriers arrive from Krezk, with a shipment of new equipment and armor. These new Light Carriers begin taking the local Carriers away for training in private, even the unordained that guard the slums church.

Locals were alarmed by shouts coming from  in front of the temple in the outskirts. Wearily they apprached to find two men professing to be priests of the Iron Lord engaged in shouting with a group of women. The men proclaimed themselves witch hunters and announced that they had caught a hin and would put her thru a test to see if she was  a witch. The locals were cowered by the strong magics invoked during the test which killed the hin. The men then proceeded to kill three other women who protested their actions, one of them a pregnant woman. A priestess of the temple was backhanded several times by the men for proclaming that the men themselves were necromancers. The locals enraged about the witches began to build a fire to burn the bodies. When it was revealed one of the women killed was a Barovian the locals turned on the men and drove them away. Hurriedly they burned the witches and retreated to the city as night fell. Talk spreads of Outlanders killing Outlanders being one thing but attacking a good and law abiding Barovian was horrible. Damn outlanders.

Rumours spread of a pair of Morning priests aggressively encouraging people to attend the feast at the temple. They were both insulting and intimidating with an undertone of violence in their words. Later claims by the Church that they were just drunks or drunk priests ring false due to the articulate character of the Priests and the lack of any signs of intoxication. Many wonder at this string of mistruths flowing from the Morning Temple in the past few weeks and some suspect they are willing to push the principles they preach aside to persue their own agenda of becoming a dominant faith in Barovia.

Word has spread that good Barovian girls should be watchful for the pervert known as Nate. He clearly likes to grope unsuspecting women and is so depraved that even the blind have been victim.

Many mad outlanders have recently been raving about a 'walkin scarecrow' terrorizing them at night. Most locals think its just a prank, and that outlanders are just easily duped, but when local Ruxandra pipes in as having seen it, and even been stalked by it, some begin to wonder... is it real?

For the second time in a disconcerting closeness, a guard was assaulted on the western wall. A black robed figure was sighted, and set the poor guard ablaze with his vile witching. The poor guard never stood a chance, and he was obviously paralyzed in fear. The assault before this was on the guard Damian, but he was left alive, and some witnesses claim to have seem the same man in black, along with a demon.
