Title.
SP standing for skill points, for those unaware

Rogue 8 SP/level
Bard 6 SP/level
Ranger 6 SP/level
Shadowdancer 6 SP/level

Assassin still 4 SP/level ... seems like an oversight

I believe it is to match PnP. Assassin is also only 4 per level there.

It's not an oversight. it's to bring rangers in line with 3.5. they also lost 2 hp per level.
