Acre, 27th May 1291

The End is near.
The City fell nine days ago and now the Mamluks have the control of all...except this little fortress: the Templars headquarters.

We are besieged, few Chevaliers, some Initiates like me and many civilians.
For days the Mamluks have been digging under the fortress to make a breach...it is only a matter of time before they attack.

I fear this will be my last night on Earth, i will never see Paris again.

I entrust my Soul to Notre Dame, The Saint Virgin Mary, may She intercede for my sins and make my death worth.

Vallaki, 5th June

I just recently woke up; I found myself in a sort of hospice, badly injured but still alive.
The men and women taking care of me explained we are in a city called Vallaki. Never heard of it.
 They speak a strange language i can barely comprehend.

Last thing i remember was the Mamluks attacking from the breach they made under the walls. Their excavations were too extended and the fortress collapsed upon both attackers and defenders.

I can't explain myself how i survived, nor how i arrived here.

Vallaki 15th June

My wounds are slowly healing, thanks to the cures of these kind men and women.

I can leave my bed so i wandered a bit inside the hospice;
Inside i found rapresentations of a woman bearing a kite shield, pale and dark haired.

I asked who she was, and they explained She is a goddess called Ezra, She protects her faithful from the forces of Evil which lurks in the mists.

Maybe i am fool, but i think this can be a Sign.

I think She could be a rapresentation of the the Saint Virgin Mary in these lands.

Maybe She saved my life in Acre and still has a plan for me.

Perhaps i am being pretentious...why she would chose me leaving better men to die...

I named Her "Notre Dame des Brumes"
