Thanks.

Suggested feat:

Improved quivering palm

Prerequisite: Monks gain this feat automatically at 17th level.

Specifics: The monk's quivering palm attack does 1d6 physical damage per two levels of the monk if it hits and the opponent succeeds the DC check.

Use: Automatic

Reasoning: Currently monks receive nothing at 17th level except one additional hit die. Thus, a 16th level monk faces a very long XP haul to see any significant growth in power at the same time other PCs are gaining their best spells and now, for the other mundanes, Armor Skin (fighters) and Damage Reduction III (barbarians), both of which are epic monk feats in NWN.

Quivering palm is also a very weak ability. Because it can be used against only those of lower level, the feat has zero utility against any opponent equivalent to the monk. Its other limitations of requiring a hit and a failed save mean that even against weaker opponents it has an excellent chance of doing nothing. This damage that would be inflicted with the new feat against those weaker opponents is comparable to several spells that otherwise cause death, as well as the damage caused by an assassin's failed Death Attack (which has unlimited uses and is gained by the assassin at first level).
