Hak Update Bugs / Feedback
« on: December 21, 2017, 02:13:46 PM »
New 1-Hander Feats
Seem to be working fine.

Monster Hunter
Spells are not working correctly.
Level I spells appear to be complete.
At level 7 Monster Hunter, Level II Spells is empty. Using it casts Magic weapon 2/day. Level III Spells is 1/day See Invisibility. I don't know what Level IV Spells does, it's 0/day at 14 Int.

Shield Parry can be taken without Shield Proficiency

The following Feat has no name or description.

Also getting the same issue with Monster Hunter spells, at 16 int there is 1/day level IV spell which is Halt Undead (this spell works). Also to note is that other than Halt Undead none of the other spells seem to work, they cast and then have no effect.

They aren't, they also work for two-handed weapons equipped. There's also the issue that Shield Parry is selectable by anyone, not just 15+ Dex people.
Crossbow Sniper is nowhere to be seen in the selectable feats list, and Greater Weapon Specialization only leaves you the choice of Dire Mace, regardless of
level and weapon proficiencies.

I tested Greater Weapon Focus on a longsword and it worked fine. What weapon were you trying it with?

An exotic weapon, since I had all proficiencies and a weapon focus in bastard swords.

Theoretically if Monster Hunter works the same way Assassins or Blackguards do, then Level IV Spells would be accessible at 7 with 18 INT, otherwise at 8 with 14 INT and not at all with anything below. Though how spells work right now seems a little broken, so we may as well wait and see.

It’s supposed to follow the same progression as Assassin.

I think I've fixed all these bugs for the next update.

While the Monster Hunter spells now show up in their list properly, some of them do nothing upon casting.
For instance, casting See Invisibility or Improved Invisibility on yourself will do nothing, as will Magic Circle against Evil.
When I tried to cast Greater Magic Weapon on a shortsword, the message said that that the object was not a valid target.

Spells that do work: Ultravision, Alarm, Light, Disrupt Undead, Light Step, Ultravision, Knock, Dispel Magic, Diminish Undead,
Halt Undead, Remove Curse and Hold Monster.

I think I found the cause and will have it fixed in the next update. It was more of a scripting issue than hak (yay).

Can anyone test to see if the Monster Hunter spells are now working?

The Monster Hunter spells work as intended now. Greater Magic Weapon/Magic Weapon both work on weapons,
so long as you don't try to target the item itself.
