Dementlieu titles example
wildflame:
Hey It's Me, Jay Owen wrote this and I thought it would be useful for anyone who wants to know the nobility titles at a glance.
I added little, it's his.
--- Quote ---Full name: Noob Brotown. Title: Vicomte de Nerds
How public addresses: Monsieur le Vicomte. (la for Madame)
How public addresses after first meeting (within the same conversation): Vicomte
How wife/kids address: Monsieur / Monsieur le Vicomte, Papa if they're close, and only in private.
How peers address in public: Nerds
How peers address in private: Noob
Dunno if that helps at all.
But there ya go.
--- End quote ---
Norture:
Uhh, so people don't think less of Jay, I wrote the format and name examples and asked for the blanks to be filled in. Jay's not the loser who decided Noob Brotown was a great character name.
Jeebs:
It would actually be Madame la Vicomtesse for the feminine form. Also, just to point out: Mademoiselle is the French equivalent of Miss. If you are married, then you are also called Madame.
Ryltar/ Robert Archer:
Well poop so 'cranky old noble twits' isnt good enough anymore? :P
Snarling_Badger:
Characters are still free to call nobles however they like, certainly. It's more about what is proper behavior. I imagine some hardened commoners from the Ouvrier couldn't care less about how they addressed a noble.
