Summon IX - Hostile Elementals

I was told by a few that Protection from Evil should effect the spell and keep me from summoning something that will attack me. But iv tested it various times, and the past 5 or so times iv always summoned a Elder Mist Elemental that attacks, and nearly wiped out my entire party i was with the other day :3

Is it supposed to be like that were its just blind chance, or has it broken some and Protection from evil isnt properly effecting it?

*Actually let me check the script... but you were probably just unlucky. Protection from Evil should have no effect in this case. It's not a Gate spell.

Thats what i thought, but after having three different people tell me PFE should only allow good summons i thought i should say something. XD If im just insanely unlucky in getting alot of hostiles thats fine to XD
