Confusion about Dyes
« on: January 03, 2017, 03:35:47 PM »
Alright, so I just had a look at metal dyes available in Dvergeheim and then went to the OOC room on a test character to have a look at what those dyes actually look like... and from what I'm seeing, a lot of the metal dyes available for sale either aren't listed on dye dummies or they're listed under another name.

Also, why does the Dvergeheim vendor sell BRIGHT PINK? Come on.

Dvergeheim likely still uses the legacy dye stock that Petre at the Vallaki Vistani Camp offers as well as the blacksmith in Vallaki itself. These dyes still produce the correct colours but learning which names correspond to which colours is a problem.

Which dye color do I need to make certain cloak parts invisible? Like the mantle, or the "kick-me" sign. I suspect it is one of the hidden colors, like "mirror." How do people go about that?

Mirror dye. The easiest way to go about doing that is seeing if a DM will port you to the DM ship where there are dye dummies.
