"I swear that there will be no guile or deceit in my mouth or my mind, neither spoken nor silent. I swear to honour Belenus' name by being honourable in all things. I swear to be loving, but not a lover, and to remain chaste in my devotion to this mission. I swear to live a life of temperance, keeping only what is required for my work, and to avoid wealth and luxury. I swear to be humble in all my dealings, but not cowed or fearful. I swear to be faithful to Belenus, in faith and deed, so that each is a reflection of the other. I swear to pray often and fervently. I swear to be brave and courageous, knowing that Belenus' light is upon me.

May I be vigilant to wrongdoing and deceit, that I may protect the innocent. May I raise my blade in warfare when it is needful, and stay it when words might bring peace.

May I walk always in Belenus' light, and may I know his loving warmth for all my days."
