To all of our Prisoners of the Mist
« on: March 08, 2016, 01:02:14 AM »
To all members of our PotM family old and new-

Over the last day we have all learned some very distressing news about the loss of someone who was, both as a player and as a DM, a long-standing and vital member of our closely-knit community. The loss that we all feel is made no less for our relationships existing only over wires and cables: to so many of us, the server offers an escape, a refuge, even fleeting, from the battles and struggles that we all face in our daily lives, and the friendships and relationships that we form here can be just as important or significant in our lives as those we have with others with whom we live in physical proximity.

It is not the place of the DM Team or the Community Council to try and intervene in any player's private life, but we can urge that if you feel overwhelmed, to reach out to others in your life and in your community. And if you ever need someone to just talk to, the Community Council and the DM Team are here for you as your friends and peers and fellow members of this little world of ours. Mostly, in the wake of such an awful tragedy, let us all now be there for each other today, tomorrow, and going forward, with no one forgotten, but taking some comfort in the stories and interactions that were made and will remain the richer and the brighter by having had players like Dusk as part of them.

If you would like to pay your respects or leave a reminiscence, please do so here.

Some of you will hear that things have occurred regarding his characters in-game. These were done as sensitively as possible but in a way that preserves the integrity of the roleplay in each case. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or another member of the Team.
