OK, so my system can handle higher graphics, but I wasnt interested in them for NWN so I set them for minimal: compatibility mode.

On compatibility mode my transitioning times were HUGE.

So, I have just refurbished my laptop and got it running like it used to, and I set my gaphics up to max.

My transitioning times are minimal. Don't know why that is, but maybe setting it to minimal actually lagged my game. Everything is so much smoother. Took away grass and water shine, but I dodnt want those anyway.

There are some issues with certain graphics cards though where having some settings on high or having some settings turned on period will cause crashes, so keep that in mind too.

I turn off grass, the high polygon count near Dvergeheim will always crash me if there's a storm there.

Shiny water I tend to turn off.
