Whispers in Vallaki

A noticeable undercurrent of fear and unrest is festering among the people of Vallaki as of late. The rumours of terrors of Old Night, drinkers of blood and other horrors, cults that worship forgotten death gods, and the tangible yet subtle tension with the Wachter lands to the West have taken their toll. Compounding matters are the recent accounts of a fire at Houlgrave's bookstore, and even more alarming still, the rumours of disappearances of several children. Even though the world moves on outside Vallaki, the city and it's people becomes a darker and darker place...

Hush talk and whispers spread through the shadows of Grey City of screams and wails coming from the old abandoned lodge to the north and those who have been brave enough to venture near it say the doors are locked and rigged with traps that they cannot remove without setting off who or whatever placed them either meant to keep people out.. or meant to keep someone or something in as all they can hear is cries coming from one of the upper floors of the building
