These are the proclamations, decrees, and other such notices of the distinguished and dutiful Wachter family, sworn to the great and noble von Zarovich family and current ruler of Barovia, Strahd XI.

LET IT BE KNOWN!

On this day of 22, August, 769 BC, that I shall hold an open court, wherein twenty good men or women be they my vassals
or kindly visitors may have audience and ask of me favors or inform of the goings on in my province and other holdings. Along with
this there shall be a trial of Jusztina Joska, who stands accused of violating the peace of the land, of attacking men sworn to me
and to the Count, and of black magic!

The witch known as Jusztina Joska was put to death during the trial in which in the insidious snake attempted mine own life with -its- fell power! Let it be known that Wachter's
line will never stand for those who threaten it or the peace of the land! Let it be known that all who violate the peace of the land under my care, the Count's very lands, shall
never know that - peace - for those who violate it surely shall know justice, shall know a coward's death!

All those who practice the black magick upon these lands and upon its people wilt see themselves punished first with imprisonment and then with the removal of the tongue and fingers! The most heinous blagards that survive their capture wilt be drownt in the river Krezk, this I swear.
