Rumour has it that Lilianne Moreau and Marcus Hulford have negotiated the purchase of 200,000 solars worth of land from the Lord Sédoran Madrigore of Edrigan on behalf of their charity, Champs D'Or. The hiring of farmers and purchase of wheat seed has already begun and production is thought to begin in the near future.

Local gossip tells a small tale of two Lamordians yelling at one another inside the Inn during the late hours. One of them left the Inn around two in the morning, handing the Innkeeper a consider amount of gold. Some how the man broke one of the tenant's doors.

"You left the campfire back in the field. The entire grass field is on fire. Smokey the Bear is on the edge of the field, on his knees, sobbing into his hands."

Recently, a blond haired man has taken a residence at the peaceful village of Edrigan, fulfilling his days by assisting the local populace with various chores around the humble village. Frequently, he can also be witnessed conducting quite long morning prayers at the local Ezrite chapel, and during the evening hours, he could be found at the local inn, enjoying the peaceful moments near the fireplace while analyzing in peace and quiet what seem to be Ezrite holy scriptures.

[A group of jackbooted thugs were seen around Edrigan for a few days, whipping commoners allegedly in Lord Madrigore's name. Today, Lord Madrigore ordered these men hauled away, and the signs near the local inn to be taken down as soon as possible. One cannot help but wonder what may have happened in this strange, normally quiet little Dementlieuse village.]

Over the past few mornings, for those who travel the countryside of Dementileu between the University and Edigran, they may have taken note of something peculiar and disturbing. Dead animals, deer and boar, left discarded, meat and bones left untouched. What might be most perplexing, is that a number of animals appear to have had the entirety of their blood drained.

The number of wild animals found drained of their blood throughout the countryside dramatically increases over the next couple days, as if whatever creature that preys upon them struggles to satiate its thirst and needs.

[Word spreads of a few beleaguered men from Chateaufaux having arrived in Edrigan, speaking of armed conflict and a possible coup having happened to the south. They claim that Chateaufaux now answers to a man who calls himself the new Lord-Governor, a man who claims he will restore order to the chaotic situation that affects the republic.]

In the early hours of the morning, people near Edrigan could be awoken to the sounds of an explosion. Those near the bridge over the river, would notice that the bridge is now damaged and destroyed. As to whom did it no one knows the truth. Some whisper council loyalists, others whisper revolutionaries, and even a few whisper that this was the work of Falkovinia. The truth will remain unknown, but the reality is that the bridge is damaged and it will take some time to repaire it.

WAR! THE HAWKS ARE COMING! in the middle of the night soldiers from the people's National Army are reported as coming to the village of Edragine and warning the villagers that Drakov is coming. Those that can fight or provide medical aide were encouraged to join the army, while those that can't should make for Port-a-lucine. Some whisper that they saw the parish anchorite make for Chateaufaux on horseback to warn that town.

[The Falkovnians occupying Edrigan wake up to find quite a few of their men and women.. appearing sick, though what is affecting them is hard to pinpoint. There are some signs, however, demonstrating that perhaps something more sinister is at play. Whatever is being spread about the soldiers seems to be affecting some of the civilians as well. Some soldiers have slipped into a coma after falling asleep, and haven't woken up from their feverish sleep. Others have outright died. At least a hundred soldiers have been affected by this sudden wave of illness, which some suggest may be poisoning by the enemy.]

[The Sergeant Jerome de la Salle can be seen with a small detachment of Company of the Fox soldiers about the town of Edrigan. For a time, they proclaim that the Fox Company is enlisting for their latest campaign to the country's southern borders, and announce that all citoyens that seek La Fortune and La Glorie should flock to the colors. They make note of just how strong the folk of Edrigan showed they were during Falkovnian War, that now, they can have another chance to remind once again to the rest Core just how strong the citoyens of the Dementlieuse countryside are! The sergeant makes a firm emphasis about just how patriotic such a position can be in the Company. After tacking up recruitment posters, the detachment shortly returned to Port-a-Lucine]

An outlander bard appears to have taken up residence at Le Chaudron de Feu in the last few weeks. He seems to spend most of his time in the woods, returning only to sleep before setting off again. Some of the residents of the hamlet have reported hearing music coming from the forest on quiet nights, evidently played upon a lone violin.

Some sort of occasion seems to be brewing in the small Dementlieuse village of Edrigan. Village folk chatter about an upcoming wedding ceremony, set to be held within the Notre Mere de la Repentance chapel of the Lady Guardian. The normally quiet village stands witness to a modest influx of travelers, most likely the attendants of the upcoming event.

A musket-shot wedding took place in the Edrigan chapel this evening. The groom was Roland Poulin of the Gendarmerie, and the bride, the enchanting widow Celeste d'Espivant of Richemulot.
In attendance were Roland's family: his somewhat senile uncle Lambert Poulin, and his two sisters, Jocelyn and young Georgette.
Celeste was accompanied by her butler and a friend by the name of Elle de La Bourg.
The ceremony went over smoothly, and Roland took the d'Espivant name rather than subjecting his new wife to a lifetime of being addressed as 'Mademoiselle Chicken'.

A traveling merchant came into the small village of Edrigan claiming to have found the tattered and bloody remains of a farmwoman's dress along the road through the forest. He didn't remain at the site for long as he felt like something had been watching him, and says he never saw trace as to who might have owned the shredded clothing.

The raging flames of war make room for a hushed whisper in their midst, speaking of a lone, green-cloaked figure making his arrival into the chapel of Sainted Mother's Repentance. Some among the faithful flock and villagers alike claim recognition of the man, going as far as to say that the man indeed is one of the Martel brothers, now taking up Torethood within his mother's birth village during these grim times for Dementlieuse nation, hoping to navigate Edrigan's spiritual sail through the tempestuous storm. Truth or fiction, the man is often found in the vicinity of the chapel's ground, tending to a variety of menial tasks.

A brazen heist has been reported to have taken place around midnight outside of the sleepy village of Edrigan!

A half hour long gun-battle took place by the bridge outside Edrigan between criminals and House Montesque men where the ambushers fired from an elevated position and rocks with a grenade thrown at some point. The wagon is riddled with bullets, there are four dead men with one sole survivor found. The wagon was carrying valuable chests filled with items belonging to the house which were taken by the assailants.

Most of the House Montesque guards were killed in an apparent ambush whereupon a lone survivor of the attack reported that the wagon was attacked and robbed by three criminals, two humans, and a caliban freak. It is said that the human criminals were known as 'Black Jacques' and 'Rene Straight-Jacket' and that Lord Montesque, a northern noble who sided with the Council, blames the lack of security on the Maitriser taking men away from Port-a-Lucine. Word is the lack of security around the environs of Port-a-Lucine has led to increasingly bold operations by criminal groups around the city.

A large force of Port-a-Lucine's Gendarmerie could be seen travelling along the Avenue do Progress this day, eventually reaching the village of Edrigan. The detachment of Gendarmes seemed to linger about Edrigan for some time, as well as the nearby bridge crossing the village stream which guards the road eastwards. After some hours, the Gendarmerie force returned to Port-a-Lucine...

Word spreads that the family crypt of the Madrigore family has been robbed! Upon the next time the crypt was inspected it was found that the crypt was robbed as the sarcophagus of Clovis Madrigore was opened and his jewelry buried with him taken by graverobbers. Local gendarmes are vigilant, questioning those who may be suspicious, particularly outsiders staying in the local inn.

The sleepy town woke up in the early morning and spent the afternoon outside of the inn has seen even more unusual disturbances as a gunshot rang at the Le Chaudron de Feu. Upon investigation by the townsfolk and a Jalabert House guard standing outside, they found Verinne van Haute alongside her other, burgundy and black-clad bodyguard where word spreads that a large rat creature was running amok inside of the inn. The pale-faced Jalabert Guard was said to have run in to help van Haute alongside the other unidentified bodyguard. Together they kept the creature at bay until it fled and scurried off as it changed into a mundane rat and disappeared. He was later seen explaining the situation as van Haute left alongside her unknown female companion.  Later the innkeeper Ariane Lafayette was found bound and gagged in the back of the inn. She claimed some ruffians attacked her and she woke up in the kitchen pantry.

Lay people, Templars, Anchorites and even an Inquisitor have been seen lately around the otherwise quiet Notre Mere de la Repentance in the past days. At some point most of them entered the temple and went out only after some cycles of night and day, any too curious villager was kept at a distance from the place. Someone murmurs of someone important involved in this meeting, though that was clear even without any comment. However nothing has been publically told or stated on the matter by the local clergy.

Ariane Lafayette, proprietor of Le Chaudron-de-Feu, carefully remarks to inquisitive visitors of the inn with confusion about her recent guests. Leaving the room for only a moment, she says (and she cannot remember why or who was in it), she returned to find the furniture scattered and broken, cut in half and thrown about in some great fight. Dark blood stained the carpet and scorchmarks the wood fittings, but when she opened the locked door and discovered this shocking scene, only a single woman left, pushing past and exiting into the dawn.

The furniture has since been replaced, though at no small expense.

The sleepy town of Edrigan was awoken with joyous news.

Susanna, a young woman who has been missing for two weeks, returned to her home, malnourished and weakened, but alive. Rumor has it, she was held captive by a group of bloodthirsty bandits, who mistook the simple maid for someone of substantial wealth. The bandits' plan to ransom Susanna was foiled by two adventurers, who bravely infiltrated their hideout and freed the girl from the cage she was kept in.

The strangers in question, small woman in white and towering man wearing plate armor, escorted Susanna back to the town and, after handing the girl some money, disappeared, not asking for thanks or a reward. Not much is known of their identities, except for the fact that their features appeared too alien to be human.

In recent days, an eccentric Mordentish vagrant wearing a fur cloak has been spending time going to and from Le Chaudron-de-Feu. He appears to spend most of his time outside and occasionally brings in the fresh game in a time that corresponds with increased sightings of predatory beasts along the Avenue du Progrčs.
