the slow clasp of expensive shoes on cobblestone roads echos in the dead of old night throughout the Village. the silhouette of a shadowed figure is witnessed walking the streets by the Curious peasant peeking from their bedroom window....

a deep sinister laugh echo's off the moon lite structures of the village as the night continues on...

An individual in robes of white has been gathering as much fruit as possible from local farms & paying well for the last fruits of the season , her rounds also take in the local smiths , where she had orderd several horse shoes & a small quantity of nails along with a hammer , dispite obviously being an outlander & owning no horse or livestock of her own .

Quote
The Church of Hala celebrates the
New Year on October 31st, normally a day of
dread for many people across the dread realms.
This day marks the end of the harvests in many
places, but to the Halites it is a day for
celebration. In the Church of Hala, this
celebration is known as Samhain (So-wen).
Halites often give out gifts of fruit and
vegetables on this day to the poor and bless
small children, regarding them with praise.
Young boys in particular are held in esteem,
though girls are not unfairly regarded, for they
are the future mothers that will give life to the
next generation. Iron is often hung on walls and
above doors and windows by Halites on this day.

Some adventurers have seen a Vistani child making a doll, with her tiny hands, in the Zarovan camp by the Tser Pool. Some are ready to swear they saw the doll moving and then, after it exploded in an outburst of smelly gore, a thick mist appeared. The little doll was dressed as a waitress and with a little tray in her tiny hands, made probably of copper. As it is, the girl who made the doll is also rumoured to be educated directly by Madame Eva.

Locals talk of a shadey man, entering the village from the seldom used southern entrance. He had been carrying a woman on his shoulder, who was unconsious, her head covered in bloodstained bandages, under which tufts of red hair were noticeable. Well-dressed not the type to fare in the swamps. The man carried her all along the way, sometimes talking out loud, as if he was argueing with himself. He aimed clearly for the morninglordian temple. Some labourers that were accepting the free meals of the priest, later told the man handed over a fair amount of gold to the priest, and only said three words. "Tend to her..." than he put the womans body down gently, looked back once more, on her, and left the temple, without a word.

" Oh nu! My chickens.. my livelihood! " - Farmer Petre Dimitrivich

It has been said that terrible creatures came during the Old Night's reign and shattered the unguarded and unwatched farmsteads and homes on the outskirts of the Village. Several bodies of drunks and livestock, slaughtered in ritual manner prove this happening to most eyes and there were several instances of graffiti in blood, ash, and feces about the area of destruction. The graffiti is simply an unblinking eye. What terrible things would have done this?

Whispers, rumours and tales spread swiftly through the village of Barovia, aided by those who watch the streets more than others.
A woman in red armour and a caliban of small stature, wreathed in witchcraft have stolen a child!
Perhaps they are responsible for other recent cases of missing children in the woe begotten village?

Posters denoting the heinous and foul deed have been placed about the small village in warning. Each proclamation bears the mark of the Black Gauntlet.

[The number of fatalities of the Barovian guard seems to have severely increased as of late.  The body count seems to grow with each passing night.  Rumors spread that an evil is plaguing the streets of the Village in the cover of darkness.  Many of the corpses recovered have been found drained of their blood.  Some may lay the blame on a vampyr, but no proof has been found to support the claims.  Regardless, tensions may be rising within the village at the concerning number of deaths and disappearances.]

Soon, the word travels to many ears amongst those who enjoy this information...The Blood of the Vine begins to see mercenaries and an increase of mysterious figures alike, some making inquiries in their own way about the recent killings...

An outlander criminal named, Ellana was executed at dawn and her remains burned. Her crimes being the murder and looting of a Village Guard and having the audacity to attack the Burgomaster Vanda Atanasius. A crowd gathered to solemnly witness the burning of the criminals remains. Condolences are offered to the the dead guards widow and son. The Village Guard has increased its patrols and have begun aggressively questioning all outsiders and foreigners.

The strange events of the village attracts another traveller, a man in a dark coloured robe, white cloak and a gnarled staff made out of some simple wood arrived a late evening. Some might have seen the man walking about the village surroundings and the Vistani camp with a wolf pup or larger dog. He carries only a smaller pack, some weaponry and some books he sits reading by a table

Some barovians looked confused when they saw the new village gaurd recruit, word has spread that the one who defended tser pool a long time ago had fallen by his own men back in vallaki yet here he walked in uniform.
Even more gossip started as he is seen entering and leaving krovache's house some say it is not strange the old sergeant had a visitor but that it was an assumed dead man was.

The temple foundations shook with small tremors some nights ago though it was believed to be an isolated incident. A scar-faced outlander seen to frequent the village often was witnessed near-carrying his constant companion, a slight young woman with crimson red hair, from the vaults deep under the Morning Lord's haven hurridley to the Blood of the Vine and the small refuge its walls provide...

Three outlanders familiar to the desolate streets of the mournful village of Barovia have often been sighted together deep in serious conversation. A scar-faced swordsman in black, his constant companion, a young woman wreathed in shadow and another female and reputed guest of the Burgomeister who often keeps her counsel within the Blood of the Vine when night's embrace closes. Their expressions range from a mixture of rapt attention, concern, mocking humour and business-like neutrality as they walk the streets frequently, moving about like soldiers assessing a killing ground before a war...

Occasionally, that same Outlander and reputed guest of the Burgomaster, is seen leaving the village by the means of a horse-drawn carriage.  Her absences are limited to a day or two, at the most, before she returns via the same means.  More recently, she has returned in the company of a man and a woman-- Barovian and especially good looking.

Anyone trying to get in contact with the Burgomaster's (un)esteemed guest would find that has been missing in action, absent from the chaos and planning for approximately one week thus far.  If anybody would ask around, the mention of Port-a-Lucine might surface.  However, if any Outlander should travel there in search of her, they would not find her.

Rumors soon spread that the newly weds kaeyna and krow  had a run in with the local autorethies along with two others Colt and former vallaki guard and ezrite Vladimir Gianatz.
The moment the happy couple came out of the woods east of the village they got arrested and filed with charges three of them recieved lashes krow the husband got 8 and his wife got two but only cause she jumped infront of the guard who was about to whip krow.

The local law enforcments are starting to worry as not long ago a flood of outlanders visited them and now this incident makes then even more vigilant, its said mihas mandruleanu was among the guards who set the charged.

A woman in golden armor bearing a Morninglord Symbol, 2 Hins and a husky woman in furs are seen about at the Blood and Vine with good regularity, taking up the same company room each night, and partaking of dinner and drinks down in the common room. The woman in armor is seen chatting with the locals as best she can, frequently to no good effect and generally being pleasant.

Rumor is that a red-haired hunter set up his camp in the area, seemingly he's planning for a longer stay. He was asking about wolf attacks in the surrounding areas.

Word of mouth spreads about a Morninglord cultist who has come to stay. Some say she's come to hunt Vrolok, other's say she is a Vrolok, regardless the cultists is seen arriving and entering the Blood o' Vine.

Last night, the villagers of Barovia will whisper of terrible screams and sounds of fury that rang across the night, under the wailing of a terrible storm swirling across Lysaga Hill, lightning striking the hill's summit repeatedly. Those who peek out from behind curtained windows tell a tale of a group of heavily armed men who confronted some terrible beast in the night. The beast was defeated, and the men then adventured out west -- still in the middle of the night. Hours later, the storm eventually subsided, the dark clouds lifting from Lysaga Hill and passing away... three returned, it was whispered, carrying three corpses to then hide inside the Sunkisser temple...

The last few day's and night's the patrons of the vine are nervous, multiple strange occurances have happend, once all patrons gone missing except for the New barmaid Eliza, another was when the Village lampligther the barmaid and an outlander known as Inari where seen pale as the winter snow when people asked what happend  they fell silent.

Many claim it has to do with the fact that the gates where closed that Vallaki's problems went to the Village now that the gates are open again everyone hopes the trouble returns to the grey city.

Seems the village have a new lumberjack as of late. Judging by his appearance he is a simple man, wearing plain often muddy garments, his face covered with a cowl.
When approached he introduces himself as Ian. Working from dawn to dusk only at nights he returns to the Vine for a whiskey. Other than that he does not speak much.

Word that the Dilisnya chapel has been definitely closed down and barred was confirmed by none other than Lieutenant Ionache as he was touring a small delegation of Morninglordians around the barricaded structure. It is said that the cause of the closing takes root in the abhorrent actions posed by a masculine member of the Dilisnya cult; villagers speak of a flogging t o charges such as disrupting the peace, using vraja with the intent of harming citizens; those who attended the delivering of the sentence also speak of a verbal fallout involving Burgomistress Vanda Atanasius and the leader of the Dilisnya flock, a Borcan attributed the nickname of 'Poisoner Milea' - it is said Milea's arrogance made the Burgomistress fume with anger, to which she stormed out of the scene quickly.

The villagers talk among themselves as the local guard known as mihas been seen rambling and drawing his sword for nothing else but thin air, but that the sight of ezrite upon ezrite pouring into the small village held no good news either for the peacefull near dead town.

When night came many awoke by the blown horns of guards who rushed out of a building near the famous inn, soon after blasts where heard and screams of dying men where the only sounds heard in the usualy silent streets of the village.
Those living near the inn heard a conversation between the rebels and the lampligther he was suppose to deliver a message, it got louder again when the ezrite delegation poured out into the street to aid the lampligther against the rebels, but further bloodshed was prevented.
Comming morning guards and ezrites are seen cleaning up the mess of the night befor, word also reaches that the ezrites have donated provisions for the fallen families.
