Rumours have spread through the village about a cloaked Dementlusian woman making a deal with the ghoul. In exchange for tormenting and making people suffer the ghoul was given Vistani Elixirs.

on the tongues of those in the village it spreads like wild fire that the ghoul has been slain.

people are still hoping for a cure but if there ever will be a true working cure has yet to be found.

While some look for ways to cure and stop the plague, it seems that the blight has took a new toll through the woods around the Village of Barovia. Some animals were found dead with similar symptoms that were seen before on humanoids.

Also, a couple of hunters mentioned odd bone circles left around the surroundings of the village and also at the Marsh.

Many of the bone circles near the village were found destroyed, the bones scattered about as if deliberately kicked aside to prevent whatever witchcraft they are intended for.

Rumours spread that a baby vanished during the night along with a sickly goat. Rumours also spread of a cloaked and hooded woman walking around the streets, her gown black with red stiching sewn into it, humming a dark haunting tune.

A farmer was found butchered, laying in the middle of the crops at the entrance of the Village of Barovia. His limbs were separated from his body, his head chopped off and the ground is soaked by some sort of negative energy.

At the same night many villagers and other people that fell to the plague are seen recovering at incredibly rates while more and more animals become sick. Not everyone show signs of recovery although. People start wondering about the connection of the two separated happenings and to fear about the price.

//ooc info: this might be your chance to get rid from the plague if you plan to move on to another plot.

A sandy-brown haired young man has been sighted toiling in the village and the surrounding farmland, tending to the sickly and burying the dead.

Rumors spread of a cloaked woman walking through the streets during the early hours singing a lullaby to a crying infant. Some might recognize the accent as being from Dementlieu.

The long abandoned and neglected shrine to Ezra has seen use again in the past days, frequently visited by a dark-garbed man. Donations of food and coin have been left within and the shrine itself has been tended to.

People are really scared with the last happenings. A foul presence haunted the village for an entire night... until a scream exploded into the local Inn... Bridget, the woman that looked for the ill was victim of some sort of terrible illness.

It is being told as well that some sort of evil force shaked the abandoned warehouse... whoever dares to enter there will notice the remains of a terrible ritual.

At least someone was saved tonight: the lost child that everyone looked for was rescued thanks to Shy'nar.

Shortly after the terrifying screams of agony coming from the inn, a window in the inn's upper story was thrown open. Within the window, it is said, stood briefly the figure of a man, shouting a curse into the night. To what effect no one knows...

Screams of agony echoed throughout the Blood of the Vine during the night. It is said that a young woman brutally died in the common room on the upper level. Supposedly blood covered the floor, rumours even go so far as to say her body exploded.

People keep on commenting about the boons and curses brought by the stranger Old Black Woman...

"We were saved by her... but by which price?"

"Are you insane? She gave birth to that ghoul! I never trusted her"

"Of whom you are talking about? Maman-Mamere? Man, I heard that she was planning to call forth the entire legion of devils straight from the hell!"

"Pff, don't worry, that black witch will not be seen anymore! Our guard kicked her out of the village!"

"No-no... didn't you know? She was dragged directly into hell after the shacking of the warehouse! Fits her well."

~ A Garda recently transferred from Vallaki to the Village, it's rumored he seeks to help the struggling community get back on it's feet in the wake of the plague Many Have Taken to calling the Garda Private Lupescu or Rica. It's unknown if his stay will be permanent or temporary but it is known that he possesses a good work ethic while on duty~

~In the night Rats have been seen in abundance, as if compelled by some unseen force to come out of the woodwork in droves. It's unknown if they had been there all along living quietly or have recently migrated. One thing is for certain, the streets of the village are filled with the sound of tiny feet on pavement of a night~

~A cow has recently gone missing from a small farm just outside of the village as well as a chicken, none truly know what became of the beasts but it was apparent they were both lead off in the night as the missing lead rope would indicate. Oddly two gold pieces were left in the chicken pen. Whether as payment or insult is up for speculation though if it was the former the mystery party grossly under payed for such fine beasts. On a perhaps unrelated note two forms were seen walking down the thoroughfare in the night, one casually twirling a mink carcass by the tail as they strolled along in what would have appeared to be good spirits~

In the basement of an abandoned house, the remains of something terrifying paint the floor.  A massive amount of glugy blood congeals in a thick pool, with more blood splattered outwards, as if something exploded.  This was no ordinary wound or conflict.

Whispers are said about a man dressed in a set of forest colored garb followed by a fey woman similarly dressed were seen heading into the forests to the east of the village with a black large cat in tow. The fey woman appeared several months pregnant one early morning. Word around the tavern was the two were seen at times often sharing a room for the past many weeks before hand, and the man was said to have been helping around the village where he could, but always wearing a thick garbed hood. Perhaps it was just timing but after a few weeks the rumors also of a large shadowy monster that had been seen in glimpses during full moons have also passed.

All in all the memories of both soon fade as time passes on....

~ A Goat has turned up missing from one of the local farms, no one seems to be able to discern where it went and eventually the suspicion is cast towards the ever present threat of wolves that plague the lands near the village~

An ox, and a goat have been stolen.  The Phantom Sculptor, as one has called this villain, has left two stone replicas in their place.

After one year of the locking down of the small Chapel of Ezra within the Village, and several months after its re-opening, the green-clad "Dilisnya poisoners" have been seen stationing in the Village of Barovia more often than usual. Have the problems been fixed or is this encumbering presence going to cause further troubles in the future...?

Some works have been done in the past weeks in the little building dedicated to Ezra in one of the central courtyards of the Village of Barovia. A Templar in full gear has been noticed standing day and night by its door in the past day. Local population has noticed, and for now, they just remain in the range of low, and upset, murmuring.

A disgusting and brutal sight has been left with the villagers this dark evening. The animals in the villages western outskirts have been slaughtered and eaten brutally... messages in blood appear  to have been written all over structures and doors. The writing appears to be mostly darkonese and call it for a "Zahlia".
