Probably as soon as the devs take time to work with all the new additions of 1.69, I'd imagine.  Give it time, it'll come.  8)

It's not a priority right now. We'll then evaluate horses and see if they can be implemented correctly without ruining the feel of the server. In a nutshell, give it time.

Maybe you should need a horse before you transition to the new areas outside of Barovia? That would make sense AND attach a cost moving between realms...

And Otake, Wulfgang Eberhardt, Aesin, Humiko, Bonereaver, Anthrania + whatever concept I am playing with...

That's easy!  Just make all of the horses black.

Seconded.  :)

Also, Falkovnia sucks.  Let's not go there.  :P

Dumbkopf!

Falk could just be a walled fort town... so say 2-3 maps and a pub/general store... wouldnt take much. No one (except via DM quest) gets beyond the fort wall (think Hadrians wall)

And Otake, Wulfgang Eberhardt, Aesin, Humiko, Bonereaver, Anthrania + whatever concept I am playing with...

Horses seem to me a bad pick. ALoDD had em but not everyone used em, but I guess If everyone has a horse it will morely look like the old game Twisted Metal or Carmageddon but with horses. Everyoen riding about like mad. ;D

So what's wrong if someone elses RP, includes a horse?  Never did Understand why the term RP is used to Exclude things, that are as much a definitive part of PLAYING A ROLE, as typing words, in a box.

By a very subjective quick judgement, horses can be very disturbing to the atmosphere if not handled as living animals you ride on, but rather something that just extends your height and allows you to move around in new groovy ways.

However, I do agree that more opportunity is good for roleplay, so I'm not catagoricly against implementing them. There's just so many things we need to test and figure out before we can make a proper judgement.

Feed, water, and take care of them, otherwise they die.  If you bring them in, something should be added to them for upkeep (maybe a Horse only HTF script, I know implementing that for the players would cause a banshee-esque wail of doom).  I'm all for the Horses personally, just for the option and the fact I dislike coconuts.

The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land? ;)

Seriously though, we're evaluating it. On a positive note, we won't have to redo all of the transitions in the module if we put horse riding in, just any custom ones (like the ring of choking fog near the Village of Barovia).
