Forum issue, possibly intentional filtering?
« on: May 12, 2016, 01:56:22 PM »
With the IC newspaper I've been running, I've had issues with some of the advertisements not showing up. I've toyed around with it and found that it's the filename itself preventing the image from being displayed. If I have, for example, theatre_ad1.jpg, it won't show up. But if I have just theatre1.jpg, it will show up.  Is this intentional and meant to deal with spambots?

It would not surprise me if anything with 'ad' in the filename refused to display.

It's not the word ad that does it though, it's ad1. This file displays just fine: http://cloakandcoffee.ca/stuff/ravenloft/delaroux_vineyard_ad.png

It's not something any of us have done, but it might be part of the default setup for the forum software.
