Title: Vallaki Area Rat Population
Post by: Vasile on June 15, 2017, 01:37:02 PM
As far as I can tell it's always been suggested that when the rat population in the Vallaki sewers goes unattended for to long they start to swarm onto the surface. I've seen this as were-rat spawns, dire rat groups, etc.

My Garda PC has been sending people down into the sewers to clear them out to see if that'll take them off of the roads at night at all, but I haven't noticed any change in the spawns. I've tested this after a full sewer clear and didn't notice any difference.

So either the spawn growth is set way to high, or the system was changed/broken so that there's always going to be rats on Vallakis surface at night. Could I get some clarification by a Dev on this?  :D

You won't see the difference right away if you go on the surface or in an other area. What I mean by that is, if you kill the rats in the sewers and go to the surface right after, the rat population haven't changed yet. You have to give it some time. (At least, that's how I think it is, I do not have that much experience with that system yet.)

I also had a quick lock at the Rats stuff and everything looks fine to me, both in the toolset and from my experience IG lately. You probably are just unlucky or maybe the rats really loves you!

We've been testing this for the past week or so and still having the same result. No matter how many times the sewer population is wiped out the were rats are still encroaching upon the surface.

If this is intentional my Guard will stop bothering with it and chalk it off as a futile effort.  :D
