Hi!
I had some ideas about expanding craftable traps to include effects which don't deal direct damage. These would primarily be useful in RP, rather than for dungeoning. These would all require custom scripting, of course.
Noisemaker Trap
Jingling bells or a high-pitched whistle. When triggered, sends a yellow-text alert to all PCs in the area, similarly to how doorbells work, alerting that the trap has been triggered.
Indelible Ink Trap
Sprays the victim with ink, paint, or some other hard-to-remove substance. Applies a persistent VFX to the target. Catch that thief red-handed!
Steel Jaws
A good old-fashioned mantrap. Holds the target in place for a set duration.
Spike Trap - Bleeder
Applies the Wounding effect to the target.
Spike Trap - Poison
Applies the Poisoned effect to the target. Could possibly even integrate with the custom poison system!
Other suggestions or vicious slapdowns welcome!

I really like this actually. I have not the foggiest how to make them work but I absolutely do approve of them being made to work. Great idea with the first two in particular.

These are very cool ideas. They'd really expand trap RP!

Some other ideas which came out of the Developer Chat and Queries Discord!
'Ranger' traps which are usable only in wilderness areas, such as animal lures and snares. Also possibly increased detection DC (camouflage)
Rope Trap
Hoists the target into the air. Immobilises and applies the 'hanging by arms' emote until they're cut down!
Invisibility Purge Trap
Coats the target in flour or glowing dust.. removes invisibility and/or applies a penalty to Hide.
'Debuff Traps'
Itching powder, masses of live spiders or evil-eye hexes that apply small debuffs to AB and AC for a set duration.

Why did I not think of these!!!?!
Awesome ideas for crafting traps. I haven't really thought of anything for crafting traps since the DCs are generally low. and they are HEAVY!.... so...very heavy...
